Located in Vieques, a 2-minute walk from Esperanza, Esperanza Inn Guesthouse provides accommodations with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a shared lounge. Recently we came back from our 10 day trip to Puerto Rico, and we stayed at Esperanza Inn for 2 nights. Suzanne and Tayler welcomed us like we were returning tourists. They were very helpful with all our questions and concerns about exploring the whole island. Their Guesthouse is super clean, home feeling, and the atmosphere is superb. Unfortunately, we could not explore everything we wanted due to weather, and that’s why we want to go back to Vieques. And for sure we will stay at Esperanza Inn. This is thus far the best place and hosts so far. Muchas Gracias for todo!

Our host was very helpful, he gave us all the information we needed for our trip. The location is a bit distanced from the beaches (as explained in the description), but if you schedule pick-ups with the local taxis (for which we got all the numbers ahead of time from our host), you don't really need to rent a car.

Travelers who stayed in Vieques near Antonio Rivera Rodríguez Airport (VQS) have said good things about Blue Horizon Boutique Resort, Casa de Tortuga Guesthouse, and El Blok.
Fantastic beaches, especially Coconut beach. Good selection of restaurants along the seafront. Recommend Duffy's and the slightly more exclusive el Quenepo. We were at Bioluminescent bay and recommend fun brothers. They have the best boats that are transparent
Variety of good restaurants. Excellent cafes. Lovely long secluded beaches. Fair snorkelling for experienced snorkellers. In Isabel Secunda you can walk everywhere. Unfortunatlely vehicles drive around the town at night blaring Their ear shattering music taking away the ambience of dining outside. It is a health concern as well as annoying, even for the owners of some eateries.
Vieques is a beautiful place to visit for a couple nights. I strongly recommend going when it isn't a holiday. There were too many tourists. Everything was sold out and it was difficult to get a taxi. I think during low or shoulder season it will be perfect.
We stayed 3 nights which was the perfect amount of time to visit beaches, snorkel, dive etc... The beaches were not great while we were there because a tropical storm had hit and there was seaweed covering most beaches and the water wasn't as clear as it usually is. I would DEFINITELY rent a jeep. There was a lunar eclipse the 3 days we were there so we also could not do the bioluminescent bay. I would come back to check out the beaches in better conditions!
Beautiful beaches and bioluminscent bay tour was amazing! Process in getting ferry from Cieba took much longer than expected and took up a lot of the day. Ferry is passenger-only for non-residents, you can't take a rental car over. Only 20% of tickets sold in advance online; book early or you have to take your chances at the terminal. That process took well over an hour; also, allow extra time for parking and getting to terminal (they have shuttle vans). Arrived at Cieba at 10:30; parking ($10/day) and shuttle over to terminal took another 30 min. Waited in line for another 30 min and barely got the last tickets for the 1:00 ferry (which pushed away from the dock exactly at 1:00). Arrived on Vieques around 2:00. They have taxi services with vans, but arrange well in advance; sometimes the drivers aren't working that day. Renting a Jeep makes it easier to get to beaches. Warning if renting from Avis - they close daily at 1:00, so make sure to arrange for after hours pickup if you arrive by ferry after that. Lots of horses roaming over the island, including along roadways. Sun Bay Beach near Esperanza is beautiful, tall palms for shade and gorgeous water. Biobay tour out of Esperanza (southern side of the island, about 5.6 southwest of ferry station) was fantastic, we lucked out with our trip right before new moon, incredible experience.
Love the beaches. They are basically private, not too many people on them. Perfect for a romantic getaway. We rented a golf cart and had so much fun going around the island and just exploring. A lot of good food options, and the wild horses are so cool. I would recommend flying if you aren’t a local. The flight is beautiful and only 10 min. We primarily came to Vieques for the bioluminescent bay. It was amazing! You definitely need to visit it and do a tour at night if you can.
Vieques
The owners for very nice and helpful. They went above and beyond including calling a pharmacy to see if they had crutches after I hurt my foot and drove us to the black sand beach. They're on site to answer questions. It's within walking distance of most things in Esperanza including the Bio Bay tours. Room was comfy and updated. We used the kitchen to make some meals and the grill in the back.
Vieques
Finca Victoria was a magical stay, definitely one of the highlights of our trip. The breakfast is made fresh and served daily, you don't get a choice. More just a gorgeous vegetable / fruit mix appears in front of you. The whole hotel is vegan, so don't expect regular milk or eggs for breakfast. The staff were amazing too. The whole place is magic!

Wonderful staff! Clean and comfortable. Perfect location. Short walk to wonderful secluded beachs for lounging and snorkeling. Black sand beach a 15 min walk away. 5 min walk to the malecon of Esperanza. Provided a light breakfast with puerto rican coffee, beach towels, chairs, coolers, snorkeling equipment.

The staff was very friendly and gave us good recommendations. The guesthouse is 10-15min walking from the malecon of Esperanza. The shower outside is very convenient after a day at the beach and before leaving the island.
Vieques
It’s a disaster, rooms are not at all good and no water at all in rooms. I know it’s kinda different life on island but if your maintaining a hotel you need to have basic amenities for sure. I prefer not to book this hotel.
It was very comfortable and a fun novelty to camp in Vieques. The location is great and very easy to walk around Esperanza.
Location was great - 2 min walk from Esperanza with easy access to dining options.
Rooftop jacuzzi and the best view in Esperanza for the sunset.
pool, ocean access and closeness to Esperanza.
