Really friendly receptionist (who seemed to do everything) who suggested excellent restaurant down the road while we were waiting for check in. Large comfortable room with balcony over the pool. Nice little pool for a rest before going into the beautiful city. - a 5-6€ Uber ride. Parking outside, small breakfast room, reasonable selection - excellent value little hotel.

This hotel is a hidden gem. The two stars are obviously no reflection of the provided service and a coo, but rather just a consequence of how effective the venue is managed with little staff on premises. If you are travelling solo, a couple or a small family, this has everything you need. The cleanliness is impeccable. Done on a daily basis and even when leaving the room as late as close to 12pm. The continental breakfast, for the value asked is a bonus, and with top notch quality offer, including multiple choices of bread, yoghurt, milk, coffee, cereal, cheese and ham! I only regret not having the chance to take advantage of the outsourced services of in room dining and massage(!). There's limited parking, but if you're lucky, one of the four free spots is yours to take.

Great view, free parking, clean and modern

Everything about Hotel Oliveira was perfect but what made it extra special were the owners Ernesto & Theresa who really made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived & the staff.... nothing was too much trouble. Guimaraes was our first stay in Portugal and we were lucky to have been introduced to it in such a warm & hospitable way. Will remember it always.

The hotel exceeded my expectations. Everything is renovated, the room was very comfortable, huge bed, air conditioning is perfect, never too hot nor too cold, the breakfast was excellent and the Thermas... OMG, perfection! I don't remember when I felt that relaxed.

The gym had a good variety of equipment, the swimming pool was pleasant, the staff were friendly and professional.

The room was beautiful and spacious. Breakfast was quality and gave a good start to each day. Location is great for easy access to all of town. We truly enjoyed every aspect of staying at EMAJ and will absolutely stay here again when we return.

The location is great. We have stayed in a suite, spacious, renovated, super clean, and nice size bathroom, well decorated. It exceeded my expectations. Breakfast on the last floor with a fabulous view.

We originally planned to stay for just one night, but ended up extending our stay by two extra nights. That says everything about how much we enjoyed Casa do Juncal. The location is fantastic, right in the heart of the old town, surrounded by beautiful historic streets and full of character. The house itself has a lot of charm and authenticity. A special mention goes to the lovely ladies serving breakfast every morning. Their service and friendliness made the experience even better. Breakfast was excellent, with freshly prepared eggs and bacon as well as delicious mini pancakes made to order. The S Suite was extremely spacious and very comfortable. The mattress by Pikolin deserves praise too — one of the best mattress brands on the Portuguese market and often used in five-star hotels. Airco was very quiet The garden is another big plus, a perfect place to relax and enjoy the evening atmosphere after exploring the city. We will be definitely going back

The hotel staff was very nice and always willing to help. Daily (!) cleaning of rooms, including: making beds, daily replacement of towels and waste bins, washed shower, sink and toilet. Nice view of the city from the balcony. Very good Internet connection.
