It was a beautiful building from 1930 well renovated. It has a great outdoor space quite rustic and has a swimmingpool. Next to the hotel in the garden they had a small restaurant with good regional dishes. They also have good wines with it. Nicely prepaired and cosy. Nice staff. Here you will also have your breakfast inside or outside. Beautiful view. Parking places at the hotel and next to the hotel. Thanks for the good experience!

Enotel, if you have not heard of them, is a well-established chain of hotels and resorts in Madeira. Enotel Sunset Bay is located right on the seafront at Ponta do Sol with restaurants and bars all within walking distance. The hotel consists of several 'buildings' or rather facades, so I was surprised when I walked in to see a huge lobby. There is also a heated indoor pool next to the reception. For an overnight stay on the 10. January, I was given a room with a great balcony overlooking the sea. The room has 2 huge beds, the decor, bathroom, cleanliness, and size all exceeded my expectations. The breakfast is excellent, and we are spoilt for choice. I especially recommend the receptionists who were very friendly and helpful with tips. After a 30km walk from Funchal - it made such a difference to have such friendly personnel and a nice hotel room!

Lockbox on door was easy to use. Superbly clean. Loads of space. Super comfy beds and comforter and sheets. Upscale house all around. Easy to park. All the small things of home (powerful shower, high end toiletries, cozy blanket, cup of tea, extra towels, tons of fridge space, kitchen fully stocked, outdoor patio, neighborhood coffee shop, loads of books). The list could go on and on. This place made travel so easy!

We had a fantastic stay at this villa surrounded by beautiful banana plantations. The peaceful setting and breathtaking views made it a truly relaxing getaway. The villa is extremely spacious and well-equipped, leaving nothing to be desired. A particularly convenient feature was the garage within the house. We felt very comfortable throughout our stay!

The village was delightful, we stayed a short car ride away.

The village was delightful, we stayed a short car ride away. It was accessed through a tunnel which was too long to walk through comfortably. We can recommend ‘The Old Pharmacy’ for lovely meals, particularly brunch.

It's got the best weather on the island.

It's got the best weather on the island. It's far enough away from the hustle & bustle /crowds & traffic of Funchal, but close enough to everything to access the sights. It was more peaceful here and homey. We really loved our hotel (Zino's Palace).

Its a lovely small coastal town, but parking is a massive...

Its a lovely small coastal town, but parking is a massive problem, with many people parking on the pedestrian path, and yellow lines. If I was visiting for the day, I would have gone elsewhere, but as a guest staying for 3 days, we spent many hours trying to park legally. Beware you can be clamped despite no road markings or signs, or restricted access.

A quiet little town, with nice streets and observation decks. There are several restaurants and only one shopping center in the center. It's a very nice sunset and it's always nice and warm here.

Great walks (Levadas) in the area. Accommodation was outstanding. Immaculate inside! Great outdoor space. Extremely kind and caring Host. Private parking space. One of the best places we have stayed at.

A good sized apartment and value for money. It was comfortable and well equipped. In a good location for accessing all parts of the island in a car. The beds were very comfortable. The television and Bluetooth speaker were good quality and easy to use. The washing machine was a plus. The underground garage and lift were very useful. The crockery was beautiful and top quality, a pleasure to use. The village of Ponta do Sol was delightful, it was reached through a tunnel so by car.

Great, quiet location, just out of Ponta do Sol with great views. Sunset views from the infinity pool! The breakfast was amazing with a great selection including home made jam and cake. The host is very nice and we felt very welcome. The 90 restaurant belongs to the hotel, but is also open to the public. You can easily book a table there. Food is great and the staff is fun.
