We really enjoyed our stay here. The apartment was beautiful, calm and clean. For the first time, we watched the ocean through a banana grove. Just a short distance from the accommodation, there is a stunning loop trail along the Levada do Moinho and Levada Nova. This house is a perfect base to explore Madeira!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay! The apartment is simply amazing and very, very cozy — it has everything you could possibly need for a comfortable life. The village was delightful, we stayed a short car ride away. It was accessed through a tunnel which was too long to walk through comfortably. We can recommend ‘The Old Pharmacy’ for lovely meals, particularly brunch.

It's got the best weather on the island.

It's got the best weather on the island. It's far enough away from the hustle & bustle /crowds & traffic of Funchal, but close enough to everything to access the sights. It was more peaceful here and homey. We really loved our hotel (Zino's Palace).

Its a lovely small coastal town, but parking is a massive problem, with many people parking on the pedestrian path, and yellow lines. If I was visiting for the day, I would have gone elsewhere, but as a guest staying for 3 days, we spent many hours trying to park legally. Beware you can be clamped despite no road markings or signs, or restricted access.

Amazing villa at an exceptional location. The view from the villa is fantastic. The hosts warmed the infinity pool for us, which was a great experience after a long day of hiking. The place was spacious, clean and had all necessary amenities. The hosts provided us with a welcome basket of local delicacies and fresh fruits. The village of Ponta do Sol is a short drive away and the road to get to the villa is in great condition. Carlos and his family tended to all our inquiries and made our holiday exceptional!

Mar Lindo is a beautiful vacation home. Our family had such a great time both in the town of Ponta do Sol and especially the house. Staying over for Christmas was a good decision. The property is walking distance to the town below. The town had more than enough of what we needed for groceries and shops. Our hosts were wonderful! Not only did they provide clear instructions and recommendations for the town. They also ensure their property is fully-equipped, well maintained, clean, and a relaxing experience.

We spent six days at the villa over the Easter holidays with our family and had a very comfortable stay. The house is exactly as described — clean, cozy, and fully equipped. The location in Ponta do Sol was perfect for us, especially since we had a car and wanted a quieter setting than Funchal. There is some renovation work next door, as mentioned in the listing, but it didn’t bother us at all — the view remains beautiful. Overall, it was a lovely, easy, and relaxing stay. We highly recommend it.

wonderful place, oasis of peace, amazing view from every window to the ocean. Quiet and peaceful. the villa is equipped with literally everything, even a clothes dryer, grill or cheese grater :) you will not lack anything. great location - ponta do sol is a great starting point in every direction of the island. it looks even better in real life than in the pictures. very comfortable beds. the host quickly answered every question we had. we highly recommend it for an unforgettable stay
