Although in the meantime the hotel is so well known & always fully booked, the staff is still amazing friendly & takes time for a small chat. What I like most is the trust they bring towards the guests, no strict rules like pool opening hours & it‘s always quiet, people do not abuse it. Also the honesty bar where it is possible to take out in trust is great! The hotel is of high quality but not new any more & for me it‘s sympathetic that it doesn’t shine & glance in luxury, it‘s still familiar, beautiful garden & peace. I love this place!

Everything! We had an absolutely wonderful honeymoon at Zino’s. The staff is super friendly and helpful, we even got a special treat from them as a surprise. Breakfast buffet was amazing - a selection of local and homemade products, cheese, fresh fruits and warm bread rolls and croissant, together with freshly squeezed orange juice. We also had a delicious dinner at the restaurant twice. The hotel has an amazing view of the ocean and banana plantations. The terrace is perfect for lying around and reading. We appreciated how calm our stay was, perfect for relaxing. The location is very convenient for trips around the island. It’s very convenient to have a car, although fair warning, the road to the hotel is not for inexperienced drivers (definitely recommend an automatic car).

I stayed here for a couple of days and had a great time. The house was very calm and relaxing, and after hiking it was nice to come back in the afternoon. I slept very well and the bed was super comfortable. One thing I really appreciated was having a private parking spot right at the house. I’ve had bad experiences in Madeira having to leave the car on the street, so it was a big relief to park easily and sleep without worrying about it. I spent a lot of time in the living room and on the terrace. The views were great and watching the sunsets in the evening became part of the routine. Even on a rainy day I could still sit outside in the covered area, and when the weather was good, sitting near the barrel was perfect. The location was ideal for me. Levada Nova and Levada do Moinho were just a few minutes away, which made early hikes easy, and everything else was simple to reach. The house has a lot of character and felt quite unique. I also asked the host for some advice and she was quick to respond and very helpful, sharing ideas for places to visit and some nice local places to eat. I come to Madeira often and for the quality and location the value was really good. Next time I’d definitely stay longer.

Our hosts were so helpful from the moment we booked, and we even arrived to a selection of local treats they had left for us (as well as surprise easter chocolates, we felt so spoilt!). The house was impeccably clean and in excellent condition. We also really liked being close to Ponta da Sol beach - we were in a great location to drive down in the evenings to swim and watch the sunset, and there are lovely restaurants there for dinner.

The village was delightful, we stayed a short car ride away.

The village was delightful, we stayed a short car ride away. It was accessed through a tunnel which was too long to walk through comfortably. We can recommend ‘The Old Pharmacy’ for lovely meals, particularly brunch.

It's got the best weather on the island.

It's got the best weather on the island. It's far enough away from the hustle & bustle /crowds & traffic of Funchal, but close enough to everything to access the sights. It was more peaceful here and homey. We really loved our hotel (Zino's Palace).

Its a lovely small coastal town, but parking is a massive...

Its a lovely small coastal town, but parking is a massive problem, with many people parking on the pedestrian path, and yellow lines. If I was visiting for the day, I would have gone elsewhere, but as a guest staying for 3 days, we spent many hours trying to park legally. Beware you can be clamped despite no road markings or signs, or restricted access.

A quiet little town, with nice streets and observation decks. There are several restaurants and only one shopping center in the center. It's a very nice sunset and it's always nice and warm here.

Great walks (Levadas) in the area. Accommodation was outstanding. Immaculate inside! Great outdoor space. Extremely kind and caring Host. Private parking space. One of the best places we have stayed at.

The apartment is in a great location and is super spacious – we were surprised by how big the place was. My family and I really enjoyed staying at Lidia's place. The view from the balconies is fantastic. Ponta Do Sol has some great restaurants and the the town is very pretty. Communication with the person managing the property was also really good and they were super helpful. The apartment has a secure parking bay so you're not searching for street parking if you rent a car like we did.

The apartment is located in a stunning location with an amazing view to the ocean and mountains. It is not quite difficult to reach from Ponta do Sol. The host replied to our texts instantly and that made our stay even more comfortable. The property had everything needed for two people to stay comfortably. Loved the place so much and would definitely come back!

The apartment is spacious, beautifully decorated and clean. The communication with Ana was spotless, everything that you need is provided. Ponta do Sol is a lovely little town with great sunset views and a beach where you can swim. All in all great value in a great location! Would come back anytime!
