United KingdomThe hotel itself is spectacular but the staff are what make this place really special. Nicole on reception was so incredibly helpful and the restaurant staff were superb. Excellent food and facilities and will be dreaming of that view for a while. Like luxury hotels used to be in ‘the good old days’.

The apartment is spacious with plenty room, and there is a cat outside waiting for you to pet her. There is an awesome sunset watching spot in about 3 minutes of walking.

PolandI loved my stay at the Wine house — it was a cozy and warm two-storey house with a nice backyard. Well equipped kitchen, stable wi-fi and TV — there was everything that I needed.
Nice location on top of the mountain with a good view on the ocean and own banana plantation 🙂 5 minutes to Ponta do Sol by car.
Roxana is a very hospitable host, she brought me bananas from their plantation and left a bottle of wine ☺️ She also gave me clear instruction on how to get into apartment and shared her recommendations on best restaurants in the area.

The villa exceeded my expectations and Maderia is beautiful.
The villa exceeded my expectations and Maderia is beautiful. One week isn’t enough ,we had to Jam Pack everything in and still there were areas we didn’t have time for. Will definitely be coming back but for longer.

Beyond expectations, the village was quaint with a surprise around every corner through historical buildings, scenic verandas of banana trees, waterfalls, tunnels and street art everywhere. Beautiful restaurants, a fantastic beach for a swim and deep snorkel experience and welcoming residents.

The location was very good and it made it eadsy to reach our highlights during our stay in Madeira. Altough it is not a central location it is very reachable . The area is very quite and clean. The morning sunrise and evening sunsets were just wonderful.

The scenic Levada do Moinho/Nova is located in Ponta do Sol itself, and varied trails nearby cater to all fitness levels, from challenging Rabaçal hikes to leisurely Levada dos Cedros strolls. Ponta do Sol's tranquil atmosphere, lovely beach, restaurants, and relaxed pace allow for post-hike relaxation. The sunny climate enhances levada walks, and the town provides ample hotels, amenities, and tour operators. For a Madeira levada trip, Ponta do Sol's location, trails, atmosphere, and climate make it an ideal base.

The village was delightful, we stayed a short car ride away. It was accessed through a tunnel which was too long to walk through comfortably.
We can recommend ‘The Old Pharmacy’ for lovely meals, particularly brunch.

It's got the best weather on the island.
It's got the best weather on the island. It's far enough away from the hustle & bustle /crowds & traffic of Funchal, but close enough to everything to access the sights. It was more peaceful here and homey. We really loved our hotel (Zino's Palace).

Mar Lindo is a beautiful vacation home. Our family had such a great time both in the town of Ponta do Sol and especially the house. Staying over for Christmas was a good decision. The property is walking distance to the town below. The town had more than enough of what we needed for groceries and shops.
Our hosts were wonderful! Not only did they provide clear instructions and recommendations for the town. They also ensure their property is fully-equipped, well maintained, clean, and a relaxing experience.

Everything !
The house is huge, very well furnished with everything you need to spend a good time ! The view is amazing perfect for sunset and close to Ponta do Sol.
Gorette, the host is adorable, she offered us welcome drinks ( beer, wine and juices) as well as some traditionnal food from madere and eggs. She gave us advices for restaurants and was always around if needed.
We really loved our stay here and would recommend it to everyone !

The apartment was in a fantastic location. Access was very convenient via entry codes, without the need for keys. It had a beautiful terrace with an amazing view of Ponta do Sol. The apartment was clean, well furnished and very comfortable – everything we needed for a great stay. Highly recommended!

The hotel is a gorgeously preserved late 19th century Manor House - full of quirks and personality. We enjoyed staying here and having the views over Ponta do Sol and the mountains. The walks in the neighbourhoods and up to the hills were lovely.
