This property was a large and very comfortable accommodation. The location is in a town square with cozens of restaurants, confectionery and coffee shops right outside your door. The fireplace is beautiful addition to the loft. As an American family we loved the very large and open floor plan. The apartment is equipped with two bathrooms, both with showers and a large sauna which can hold several people. Right outside your door is a large private outside seating area which is very private. As far as security, you have a private entrance which has a combination lock as well as keys to the apartment. The host’s nephew was incredible and was available for any questions we had. He checked on frequently assuring our comfort and letting us know he was available any time. The price for this accommodation was incredible and i would urge anyone traveling or staying in the area to book this accommodation from these incredible people. I would like to sincerely thank our hosts for making my family and I very comfortable during our stay!

Făgăraș is located almost halfway between the larger cities of Brașov and Sibiu, both of which have a well-known tourist reputation. However, it is worth taking the time to stop in Făgăraș. Făgăraș is a tourist destination in its own rights. The Făgăraș Fortress is a must-see! There is a wide variety of restaurants and food options available. The Daffodil Meadow is a great place for nature lovers and is only 25 minutes away. There are also several monasteries within 20–25 minutes that are not to be missed.

The citadel is very well preserved.

The citadel is very well preserved. It has a beautiful collection of the historical artéfacts. Casa Embacher is a very good place for dining. Food is very tasty, served in an artistical way(plates are coming decorated). Any menu choice is exceptional. Portions are big. Location beautiful. A good place to stay is Sada. Placed in the city center. Beautifully arranged in the inside. Personnel very attentive. Place very comfortable. Fagarasi is a good place to visit Sâmbaăta de Sus, Drăguș skiing slope, Sibiu or even Sighisoara.

A rather small town with a lot to offer: the castle and the churches, good restaurants and bars, the nearby mountains, including the highest peak in Romania (Moldoveanu: 2543 m). When coming please do not omit: the Sambata de Sus monastery (a landmark for the Romanian Orthodoxy), the Albota fishery and, in Porumbacu de Sus, the stylish troglodyte mud castle. On both ends you'll have, within a 50 miles distance, Brasov and Sibiu respectively.

It's my native town: there are nice spots to see and the citadel is definitely worth visiting. Consider a trip to the Brancoveanu Monastery, located in Sambata de Sus, approx. 13 km towards Sibiu, then turn left for more 7 kms. If you are fond of trekking, the trail running along the Sambata river will take you up in the mountains, to the Sambata Chalet (approx. 5 hours). Beware of the bears! They beg for food but they are not friendly. (This is a general warning for the mountainous regions of Transylvania.)

It was our first stay in Fagaras at Reisdence Mihai Viteazul and location was right in the center of the city, very accesible to anywhere you want to visit. The host was very kind, welcomed us warmly and also recommended a lot of places to visit or eat. The property was very very nice, clean, comfy, and we couldnt say that we missed something. Compared to other locations we've been looking on Booking, this was cheaper but better looking than others. For sure we will come back in the future.

It is city hotel what could be a disadvantage for those who look for a silent place but this hotel has a good connection if you use public transport and it is close to the train station Rooms are clean and breakfast is good. There’s a small outside area where you can enjoy your morning meal. Staff is friendly and ready to help.

The room is basic, but it is clean, safe and silent and has a good bed, so everything you need for a good sleep. Good standard for a low price. It's a 20 minutes walk from the Fagaras railway station.
