We stayed for two nights at the hotel and it was a very relaxing experience. We had a studio room with a view to the Victoria Lake which was stunning. The views rooftop from the restaurant were also amazing (the best in Entebbe) and the food was very tasty. The staff also helped us arrange all the logistics around the PCR test needed for the airport and was very supportive. It was a great experience and would definitely recommend staying here while in Entebbe.

A great town that is still growing, with nice restaurants (recommend the Rolex Guys), good coffee shops, and lots of activities for everyone. Still has a very safe feel to it and lots of friendly people. Traveling around is easy and if you feel slightly brave then the local motorbike taxi service is great and very reasonable in price. Activities to cater to every budget and need, from chilling on the lake shore followed by a cycling tour around town to a day trip into the swamps to track down the elusive Shoebill Stork. Amazing botanical garden, wildlife center, or a trip to the chimp rehabilitation island.

Entebbe is a nice place to stay if you are going to Uganda.
Entebbe is a nice place to stay if you are going to Uganda. Its where the airport is located and most Ugandan beaches and the zoo. Its definitely alot less busier than Kampala especially if you are trying to avoid the Kampala hassle. Plenty of restaurants and hotels to choose from.

Wanted to get away from everything and this was just that place. Had a few beers at Country Bar which is quite earthy with cheap beer and reasonable tasty local food. Then went opposite to Carpe Diem which is very friendly with a lot more choice of good food and an amazing sunset.

Entebbe is a quiet city with lots of greenery and very safe. I found many green areas and gardens that people clearly use and enjoy. The botanic garden was a gem discovery. You can pretty much walk everywhere if you have the time and hop on a boda-boda (motorbike taxi) when you get tired. I'd certainly make time for a birdwatching tour next time; just sitting in the garden of the guesthouse I saw at least 20 different species in 30 minutes.

Entebbe is a very good place to start your visit in Uganda. You can easily adjust there to the climate, do your necessary shopping by foot, get prepaid mobile time, exchange currency etc. Victoria Lake is worth seeing , too!
