It’s worth visiting Karen Blixens museum and Oloolua nature reserve at Karen. Kazuri, the Bead and Pottery shop is a fantastic place to visit. It helps teach single mothers new skills so they can become independent. The jewellery is unique and classy. Nairobi NP is also a great visit with a large variety of animals except the elephants. Use Ubers to get around. They are cheap.

Nice city with few dodgy areas as any other city in the world. Traffic is a nightmare, and you can use a new expressway, but you pay toll fees. Beautiful eagles flying all day round. Good malls and Westlands is the place to stay for sure.

Nairobi can be hectic, especially if you’re a person who doesn’t like pressure or sort. Everyone is in a hurry. Also, it has hidden spots and restaurants that you can try (be sure to do some research).

Was only there for a brief time.
Was only there for a brief time. Visited Nairobi city centre which is madness lol. So much traffic and so many people...organized chaos. Felt relatively safe but guarded at the same time.
The CBD which is a block away was like another world! Much calmer, less traffic and people.
Wirh more time, I think the best of Nairobi would be discovered.

Hotel was very comfortable with great amenities. Best 'feature' of Best Western Plus Westlands however was the lovely, helpful, friendly staff. I was particularly grateful to Reception and Housekeeping teams for facilitating my request to have a room in which I could change and freshen up prior to my departure for a total of 12 hours flight time on my journey home (having checked out of my own room on the morning of my departure, but not leaving for home until later on that evening).
Everything. It was affordable, the bed was clean and comfortable to sleep in, and the bathroom had proper cold shower. I actually stayed on my first 2 nights in Nairobi, before I travelled to other cities across Kenya and Tanzania. And when I came back to Nairobi to spend my remaining 3 days there before leaving Kenya for good, I booked the hotel again because of my overall positive experience there. It's also in the centre of downtown Nairobi so finding transport and food was easy.
The location of the hotel is very central on the Moi Avenue. 5 minutes walk to the city market hall, some 15 minutes walk to the Parliament and Jomo Kenyatta tower. The restaurant by the hotel is very good, there is also a bar as a separate section. The security is presented, body temperature is being constantly measured. The rooms are basic, quite clean. Generally hotel is very much ok for a 3-star hotel in Africa.
