Nairobi is a busy city with lots going on. There is plenty to do for tourists. It can feel a bit unsafe in the city centre but tourist areas such as Karen and the National Park are very safe for tourists.

Nairobi is a gateway to safaris in Kenya so an important city to go to. We liked Nairobi National Park and loved Sheldrick's elephant orphanage and the Giraffe Center. I suggest getting a driver to take you to those locations.

Nairobi has grown/expanded hugely since we lived there ('80's / 90's) and last visited just before Covid. The lack of town planning, busy roads and dreadful pavements mean that it's not somewhere to spend time - just a base to and from trips around Kenya. Stay out of the city if you can - Karen is still lovely

The national museum is good and the arboretum is great.

The national museum is good and the arboretum is great. Bomas of Kenya has terrific local music and dance, plus recreated villages of about 15 of the tribes. It is a working African city and not especially tourist-oriented (a good thing); I would not have wanted to wander around in it without guidance. The food is said to be good but our hotel was too far from the CBD to make cuisine there practical. Nairobi is also a work in progress- building projects, chaotic traffic, a political system and culture that is finding its feet. Kenya is making a lot of progress in conservation and the people seem rightly proud of that. Our visit to the National Park next to the city was remarkable - giraffes superimposing themselves in front of the skyscrapers of the city; the Sheldrick Wildlife Centre (orphaned baby elephants and rhinos - squee!). Drive past (but not in) Kabira, a massive slum of astonishing squalour, to see how far the rest of the city has come. Go out into the hinterland, though, to the rural villages and the tea fields, the Rift Valley - working Africa. Learn a few Swahili words - jambo (hi) will go a long way, even though everyone is bilingual English/Swahili. Extremely friendly and polite people everywhere. Take a taxi or hire a per diem driver - ours (Asford) was energetic, super-friendly, knowledgeable, informative on all aspects of modern Kenya.

Well, even before I arrived the staff was great, They were the last hotel on my itinerary but graciously stored my luggage for the 10 days I was in Kenya, making my whole transit to different cities within the country so much easier with only a carryon. The staff is very friendly and focused in serving you. The room was spacious, clean and perfect for me. The fiery African sunrises observed from the comfort of my bet at 6am were memorable. It was a great location, just 10 minutes from the airport. Food was delicious, chefs are great.

I was feeling quite unwell as I arrived to Nairobi and Fahari Triple Hotel was located very near to the bus drop-off place, so it really saved my life. The staff is super attentive and welcoming, very helpful, assisting me with my luggage to carry it upstairs as well as downstairs (there is no lift for the fist floor, which is quite strange). The room was very spacious and good for the price. Good view over the CBD area (Central Business District or something like that). The Wifi was even working properly, if I remember correctly.

The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Jonathan at check-in showed us to our room and was our first main contact person. Miguel entertained my wife every time we went to the lobby with his stories of overcoming adversity to achieve a successful job. Samuel from the general staff entertained us through dinner with his experiences and perspectives on living in Kenya. Overall, the staff was one of the best parts of our stay, which has never happened at another hotel. Exceptional service.

The hotel is not far from the Nairobi international airport and very close to the Nairobi National Park, the Bomas of Kenya, the Giraffe orphanage, the Elephant orphanage, the city center, the National Museum, and other places worth to visit. I chose it since it was close to my place of work and was pleasantly surprised by all other places I could easily visit. The personnel was perfect - professional, friendly, supportive. One more thing - the coffee was delicious!

The Hotel facilities were wonderful, clean and with exceptionally helpful staff. The Gentleman who drove me to the airport was on time ( 5am) , very helpful and friendly ( Mr Kemboi ) I will definitely recommend this hotel . The proximity to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport is also a great thing because you do not have to experience the Nairobi traffic Jam when you are heading to the airport.

Amazing boutique hotel. Excellent and friendly staff. Very responsive and they really anticipate what a customer needs. It's the small things really, a hot water bottle when it's cold. I also love their model of giving back to the community in Kibera. This is the best value for money to be had in Nairobi. Thanks again for the wonderful stay. We shall definitely visit again!

I liked everything in kenya.. But had a bad memory in Nairobi, my s 21 ultra 5g phone has been snatched by 2 guys infront of the 2 river mall. They came on the bike, I couldn't do anything. Through this post I want to make other tourists conscious while being at Nairobi. Apart from this the hotel met my expectations.
