Pick a hotel near the old town section and you cannot go wrong - wonderful shopping and restaurants amongst the history of the old city. Definitely a hidden gem of the region. If you are so motivated, there are a couple of delightful walks up to and around the fortress on well mane cured walking trails.

Prizren is a perfect spot to stay for a few days and discover the Sharr mountains nearby or going to the wineroad, small villages and so on. It's famous for its Quebapa and anyone who travels to Prizren should taste one of them. Very friendly people. Can be very foggy in november.

Beautiful historic mosques. Good and extremely cheap restaurants. A beautiful nature walk in the hills above the town starting behind the fotress . About an hour north, by bus, is an incredible monastery. Take a north bound bus going towards Pejá and get of at the town of Deçan . The monastery is about a 25 minute walk west of the bus stop . The monastery has amazing well preserved frescos from the 13th century covering the entire wall and ceiling surface.

Hotel is in the perfect position, right in old town but we had a room at the back, top floor and it was very quiet. Both reception staff very friendly and helpful and have hairdryer, umbrellas etc if needed. We chatted with Eljem a lot, she was lovely and it was interesting for us to learn more about Kosovo. The rooftop terrace is great, good views, especially sunset. Overall, great value, very clean and comfortable and would highly recommend. Prizren is a great base for visiting other places in Kosovo, it's a fab town.

We arrived on a Sunday, so the streets in the city were busy and many one-way streets, so we got lost. But local Kosovars helped us and they called the Hostel owner. After that the owner came to pick us up at the place. we went there by car, we told him in advance that we needed a parking lot, so we were able to park the car safely. I recommend this hotel.

Hotel Castello was amazing. Its a new modern hotel in heart of old town Prizren. Its 100 meters from “Sinan Pasha Mosque” and its on the path to Prizren fortress whitch is 15 min hike. Room was clean and modern, with beautiful huge bed. The caffe bar / restaurant provides best view on old town and it was perfect for nice breakfast and coffe. Staff is very proffesional and helpful with everything. I would definitely recommend staying here.
