Kyrenia is beautiful, but if you want to see it either have a car and good walking shoes, or go in a group and split the cab fares. Town centre can be walked around in quite easily, with the beautiful girne castle, also Bellapais, which is a monastery is a lovely quaint village. If you can hack the walk visit St. Hilarion, the views from higher up are absolutely breathtaking.

Kyrenia has grown hugely since our last visit 20 years ago and is more commercialised now but the harbour is still beautiful and brings a lump to my throat just to look at it. My family lived there in the 1950’s and I was born in Nicosia. It was wonderful to find our old family home and to visit the ‘slab’ which features on so many of my Dad’s old cine films. I hope the powers that be won’t allow too much more building work to go on. There are huge shops all along the main roads - more fitting to a London scene. Please don’t spoil such a pretty harbour town.

Fantastic clear clean blue Mediterranean waters restaurants overlooking the sea with great food. Traffic in town is bad with bad roads and worse drivers, but once you get out of town terrific. Kyrenia harbor restaurants are not that great, catering to tourists ok for a once off sit and watch the boats. Do yourself a favour and walk a few streets back to proper family restaurants like Destiny Deniz for lunch or Nazils much better. Walk up Hilliron castle, take sturdy shoes but sensational views worth the effort

Despite its extremely small population, Kyrenia is a very crowded and complex city. If you like to gamble, it's for you. The beaches are very clean, quiet and the facilities are good, unfortunately you should use a taxi or rent a car for transportation. I would definitely recommend you to try the local delicacies of Cyprus, which are really good.

I like everything about Kyrenia. During this difficult time with covid etc. I was still able to feel safe and enjoy my stay. Love the hotel I stayed in and as they run a bus service into main town, we do not use car the whole time there.

Great hospitality and staff were great too . I will miss them. Rooms were large and although older function well and have nice views of the sea. The grounds are amazing and extensive. Beach is really close and 1 minute walk and you're there.. Breakfast is amazing and something to look forward to.

Great beach, friendly and helpful staff, clean and comfortable rooms. The breakfast was open buffet and there was a great variety of delicious food every morning. You can also eat other meals for extra. They also helped us with car rental as using a taxi can be expensive. I highly recommend this beautiful hotel. I must add that it was nice and quiet too. I will definitely be coming here again.
