Lions Place is in the middle of a game preserve, so it is remote, but that is essential to its charm. You are in the middle of the habitat of African wildlife. Nevertheless, JB has managed to create a really high-end lodge. The building is lovely, the rooms are very comfortable, and the meals are exceptional. We went on four safaris and they were magical.

Like a dream come true. Starting from the warm welcome from staff (Patience and Lloyd) to the decadent breakfasts our stay was delightful. All views from the suite (number 2) were exceptional. The fire in the fireplace each night warmed us and our hearts. Great gift shop. Housekeeping was amazing. And the lighted walkway was enchanting.

The apartment was exceptional and it was just like being at home. The location was just a few minutes from Franschhoek.

Beautiful rooms and cottages. All amenities accounted for. No better place to stay in the area.

Botany House was amazing! The location was great- areas of Cape Town were easily accessible. The grounds were so green and lush! The food… the breakfast was amazing! Im so happy I choose Botany House for my stay. Talia and her staff were so kind, friendly and accommodating. The bed was so comfortable and the bath tub was a dream

Our stay at the Motswari Retreat was amazing! The rooms were beautiful, so thoughtful decorated and well equipped, the meals were delicious, and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable and memorable as possible. Desmond, the manager, is extremely friendly and was always going above and beyond to make us feel welcomed. Marius, our guide, and Erick, our tracker, were excellent as well and we appreciated how passionate and experienced they were. Our chef, Eva, and her team were fantastic and every meal was outstanding, especially the outdoor bonfire/grill night. We cannot say enough great things about the Motswari retreat!!

The most spectacular experience ever. Every single thing was absolutely perfect - from our check-in to check-out. We arrived at almost midnight but the manager was still waiting for us. Being so late, I just could not figure out the coffee machine in my room, so I called the front office, and believe it or not, the manager actually brought up a kettle to my room so I could make a cup of coffee which I so badly needed after driving for 12 hours. The beds and the room layout are truly out of this world. I had such a great sleep and felt so rested when I woke. Breakfast was on another level! They have all the most amazing things that you can choose yourself at the buffet, but they also have a menu from which I ordered French Toast (egg bread) which had bacon and a fried banana - gosh it was the most divine thing I've eaten in a long while. The beauty, cleanliness, and tranquility of Adara are truly 10 stars. It really is mind-blowing to think about the amount of thought and planning that goes into making everything here so perfect. Each and every staff member that I interacted with added to the beauty and splendor of this place because they're all so friendly and warm and accommodating. Truly an exceptional experience.

A Truly Exceptional Stay – Highly Recommended! We had a fantastic stay at Derwent House Boutique Hotel! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the warm and personal service provided by the entire team, led by the wonderful Luca. Everyone made us feel right at home. A special thank you to Anahid, who gave us excellent recommendations for local places to visit and dine – every suggestion was spot on and added so much to our experience. One of the highlights of our trip was a tour with Trish, an amazing guide arranged through the hotel. Her knowledge and enthusiasm made it a truly memorable outing. Our room was beautifully decorated and had a stunning view of Table Mountain – waking up to that every morning was a dream. Breakfasts were delicious and plentiful, with a great variety each day. We also loved the thoughtful touches like the complimentary soup and cakes served at night, and the attentive day and night turndown service. Derwent House went above and beyond in every way. It’s rare to find such genuine hospitality. We would return in a heartbeat!
