Everything about our stay here was delightful. The location was a little outside of town so it was peaceful and quiet. The pool surroundings were beautiful and we enjoyed the neighboring cattle and dogs. The kitchen was well-stocked. Breakfast was delicious and hosts provided options. Freisy gave wonderful suggestions for activities in the area. It is apparent that he enjoys hosting travelers.

We had the most wonderful stay at Gambas Lodge, thanks to Gabriela and her family. Every evening she asked what we’d like for breakfast, then made it herself, always fresh, delicious, and clearly made with love. Gabriela invited us to her home to make sugar cane juice together, a real highlight for our child. Her husband and kids spent whole afternoons playing with him too. When our child had a birthday during our stay, Gabriela surprised us with a cake and candles, and her whole family came to sing happy birthday. It was truly special. The lodge itself is new, spotless, and comfortable, with working AC, a washing machine, and a pool Gabriela and her husband built themselves. Every detail is thoughtful. If you want a stay that feels like family, this is the place.
