The historic atmosphere of the house and grounds was delightful. Breakfast was a cold continental buffet with ham, cheese, fresh croissants and other breads, cereal, fresh fruit, yoghurts, jams, cakes and very good freshly squeezed orange juice and coffee. Presented at the time we requested and perfect for our needs. The grounds were magnificent, 140 acres of gardens, woods, river valley and cultivated areas for fruit vegetables and a large area given aside to blueberries. A beautiful swimming pool with diving board and sun loungers was also provided. Eduardo, the owner and his wife were very helpful, as was Antonio the manager. All in all, outstanding, and we had it all to ourselves.

The house was a beautiful traditional Portuguese farmhouse. Very cool inside. Fabulous pools with pool house. Magnificent gardens with swans and ducks...magical. Walks up into the countryside through the grounds belonging to the property. Host very friendly and welcoming.

The location is great for a summer escape. The accommodation is lovely, with great view and great surroundings. It's a quiet and comfortable place.

Spacious and spotless house with large TV and view of the lake. Quiet and secured property near the beautiful watermill trails that are great for a relaxing hike in nature. Marta was really kind and thoughtful and even booked us a table at a nearby restaurant where the codfish turned out to be the best we ever had (Flor da Ponte). Recommended to couples, families or friends up for a relaxing getaway.

Nice views from the windows. A person contacted us and instructed how we can get around. Unfortunately the cock was a loud in the early morning, but we finally got used to that :)

Beautiful rural place on the hill. Great view on the river. Porto is half an hour from the house. The only thing is the route and getting to the parking is a little bit tricky for unexperienced driver on big car. We had big Volvo but good drivers, so we managed. The parking itself is big enough to make U-turn. Mini market is near the gate. Cafe is nearby up on the road. All the facilities. We ejoyed. Gabriel is very helpful.

We travelled as a family with two kids, looking for a calm and comfortable place close do Porto. And this has been meet entirely! Moreover, I appreciate the host, Paola was excellent and even prepared a breakfast for us to be ready for our very early morning flight.

I can confirm the other reviews! Sebastiao does indeed drive you around to show you the best bakery (it is very good), nice restaurants, the supermarket etc. He's also full of tips about what to see and do. The terrace and the swimming pool are very nice. The kitchen is functional and well stocked. Beds were also very comfortable. We were there in February, and the fireplace was a nice way to stay warm. The houses are on a large estate where you can walk around and even pluck fruit, which we did. The view across the river is also great.
