Special mention goes to Rodrigo, his wife and Arturo, our hiking guide. Great people, extremely kind and helpful. Such friendliness is a rare commodity these days! I highly recommend the proposed tours, Arturo is extremely knowledgeable and will make you experience unique moments!

The property was built in 2018 and has accommodation with a patio. The villa also features free WiFi, free private parking and facilities for disabled guests. Great and hidden "secret" small boutique accommodation nearby Puerto Viejo del Talamanca (20-30 minutes walk) and Playa Negra (5 minutes walk). The hosts were very welcoming and friendly and they gave some good tips and hints e.g. for Cahuita national park visit. The accommodation is in separated houses with one spacious room and huge terrance. Each morning they are serving a coffee at 6:30AM before actual breakfast time (07:30AM). It was to drink coffee in the morning in the terrance and listen the jungle / garden sounds. The place also have nice small garden and big roof terrance to walk / stay.

New Caribe Point features a hot tub and offer massage services. We just got back from staying here for a week and LOVED IT! They gave us a few complementary things (coconuts, bottle of wine, etc. during the stay and just seemed genuinely happy to have us! The bungalows are awesome, with A/C in the bedrooms (extremely necessary). We were with our 18 month old toddler and the following was awesome with a kid: - less than a block’s walk to the beach (chill dirt road) - ground level bungalow and fully gated property so pretty safe for her to run around - a smaller pool in addition to the big pool that she could stand in (she’s 80 cm tall) and has an umbrella so it can be fully shaded - had her own air-conditioned room (and they provided a big pack-n-play/crib) - no breakfast, but just 50 m toward the beach is an amazing breakfast place that we went to every morning (Bridgett’s Ranch - so many animals, wild and domesticated!)

Rosa and Hector were very helpful and friendly. We could feel the "Pura vida" at the whole Caribbien side of the country, everybody is so calm and friendly.

It’s my 7th visit to Puerto Viejo, since I fell in love with this place, and this was far better than anything I rented here before. It’s just something else…I guess when the plants grow higher this will look as you were living in the jungle. But even now, when it’s new, you have that experience. The breakfast is exceptional, the staff is very friendly, the manager really knows his job. I’m not sure whether I most enjoyed the early mornings, when the jungle switches on and the howler monkeys wake you up, or the evenings, for the illumination of the resort is just another experience. I like a log…it’s beautiful, amazing and outstanding, really
