This hotel is located on the beautiful Dover Beach, on Barbados’ south coast. It offers 2 outdoor pools, 2 tennis courts and air-conditioned rooms with a private balcony or patio.

Room was somewhat dated, but clean and comfortable. Beds were comfortable. Also felt safe as there was a security guard 24/7 with lots of cameras being monitored throught the property. AC was excellent, and with remote, very easy to adjust to our comfort level. Pools were well maintained. Restaurant was very nice, with ample choices for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Prices were reasonable. Staff were very friendly. Complimentary afternoon tea was a nice added touch. Good location at the southern end of St. Lawrence Gap. This kept us away from the numerous restaurants and bars further to the north, so it was quiet at night. We will be back in Barbados in 2026 and will book again at Southern Palms.

This hotel is literally perfection. Beautiful! Picture-perfect! The access to the beach can’t get any better. Big rooms, also an amazing amount of wardrobes and dressers for storage. Clean. The view is stunning. Possibilities for dining, snacks and Cocktails are endless - you get it at the hotel as well es around in the area. The stuff is super nice, I felt safe the whole time

Breakfast was OK. The menu needs to be changed. At the very top, there is a sentence "Coffee or tea is included in every selection below", but when I ordered one of the items, they charged me for coffee. When I questioned it, they said the free coffee was only for the most expensive item. On another visit, the menu said oatmeal was 12 Barbadian dollars but they charged me 18 BD.

Mostly the staff. They were very welcoming and accommodating with each interaction. Persons such as Michael and Shane were on top of things when needed also the rastafarian guy who took care of the grounds gave me and my guest one of the freshly picked coconuts which really added to our experience of the island lifestyle.
I highly recommend this place and will continue to stay here each time I visit the island.
