Waking up 10m from the water was something special. The staff were so lovely and helpful and the restaurant had so many delicious food options. We used the complimentary bikes to cycle to Placencia, great to have the option but it was definitely a hot cycle! 😅

Located in the San Pedro town district of San Pedro, Belize Budget Suites is 1.5 miles from San Pedro Beach. The property offers bike rental and features a garden and grill. Apartments are well decorated. The kitchen is fully equipped. Everything is very clean in a quiet area. The lady was extremely helpful and supportive. There are both fans and air-conditioning.

Tradewinds Paradise Villas is located on the beachfront in San Pedro, a 5-minute walk from San Pedro Beach. There's a year-round outdoor pool and guests can use free WiFi and free private parking. Central location, just a few steps from “downtown”. (No need for a golf cart, only if you want to go to Secret Beach) As soon as you stepped on the premises, it felt like a small slice of paradise. It is really well kept and clean. Also the apartments are huge and clean. They don’t have the modern/clean aesthetic but feel really homey. And let me tell you about the staff: They really care and help out with anything they can. They are super fast with replying and flexible. I was able to be put on to an earlier flight to the island and they re-organized a taxi and check in for me 1 hour early in the matter of minutes. I really enjoyed my stay. If you don’t want the typical resort life but more of a independent vibe, this is a great place to be.

Located in San Ignacio, a 5-minute walk from Cahal Pech, Falling Leaves Lodge has accommodations with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a shared lounge. This property is an oasis just a stone throw away from downtown San Ignacio. I was so taken with all the trees and plants and I love that they have benches to simply sit and enjoy nature. The shower was phenomenal, the bed was comfortable, and the A/C was superb. I liked that there’s was a little coffee maker complete with filter paper, ground coffee and powdered creamer and I made good use of it in the early morning when I needed to work remotely. Speaking of—the WiFi was excellent and I had no issues with any of the conference calls I had during my stay. Lastly, I’m very impressed with the attentiveness of the staff. There was always someone around to ask for help or get a recommendation, without them being helicopter-y. If you need a nature retreat within easy reach of downtown (if you’re into walking) I wholeheartedly recommend this place! It’s especially perfect if you’re backpacking but want a nice, calm place to stay. The bus drops you off at the bottom of the hill and it’s a 5 minute walk.

Located in San Pedro, a 7-minute walk from North Ambergris Caye Beach, Caye Casa provides accommodations with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a private beach area. Having read the reviews at Booking.com, I had high expectations. And Jake, Shane and the other staff exceeded those expectations with their warm hospitality. Definitely recommend.

Located in Caye Caulker, Sea Dreams Hotel has free bikes, terrace, bar, and free WiFi throughout the property. The hotel features family rooms. Staying at Sea Dreams was quite literally a dream. Perfect location. Rustic and cozy, laid-back vibe. The nicest staff, that were especially accomodating to our young-ish children. The breakfast is super as well, and they did not flinch in accomodating meals to our youngest who is allergeric to dairy. Thanks for a magical stay, we will be back.

Victoria House offers accommodations in San Pedro. Guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant. Certain rooms feature a seating area to relax in after a busy day. The staff were amazing! Beautiful hotel on the beach with two pools and very comfortable rooms!

Located in San Pedro, 0.9 mi from downtown and located on the beautiful Boca del Rio Beachfront, Hotel Del Rio provides accommodations with a garden, free private parking and a terrace. Everyone was super welcoming and friendly. The staff helped me arrange a surprise cake and balloons for my mother’s birthday and also helped us book a great snorkelling tour. A million thanks for all the help!
