Located in the pedestrian zone in the Old Town of Melk,at the foot of Melk Abbey, the historic Rathauskeller features a restaurant serving traditional Austrian cuisine. We enjoyed the accomodation, but what we liked the most was the restaurant. We met a waiter who entertained us and explained the dishes and seasonal ingredients used. The food quality was top notch, extremely tasty. I would go back to Melk just for this restaurant and I am not exaggerating. The staff overall was nice and accomodating.
