Housed in a restored, 300 year-old Baroque-style building, Hotel Wollner is located in a pedestrian area of Sopron's Old Town and offers free WiFi. Sopron Old Town and Hotel Wollner are what you imagine of a little town in Central Europe, kind of like the town in "Chitty, Chitty, Bang, Bang" but without the scary Child Catcher! The hotel is scrupulously clean, the rooms have character. In so many, especially chain hotels, you get into the room and you feel you could be anywhere in the world they are so anonymous. Not so here. Niki is the perfect host. Nothing was too much trouble for her. Ours was only a one-night stay, but it was a very enjoyable one. Breakfast was of the continental style, buffet service, and plentiful. It was included in the price we paid.

Situated in the heart of the historic town, this hotel, built in 1893, is the oldest in Sopron. It offers a fusion of traditional and modern hospitality. Free WiFi is provided on-site. Clean, nice room, view from the balcony, froendly reception staff.

Occupying a former monastery, Hotel Klastrom situated right in the historical city center of Győr. Great location, possibly best in town. Parking, at very reasonable rate. Room with a view (see picture). Decent breakfast: nothing spectacular, yet nothing missing. Not many amenities, especially for kids. But spacious room. And really nice staff. Would definitely stay here again, especially for a stopover or short stay.

The Erhardt Panzió is located in the historic centre of Sopron, 200 metres from the Fire Tower. It offers air-conditioned rooms and private on-site parking. Quiet location, friendly staff, great bread at breakfast.

Palatinus Hotel can be found right in the historical centre, close to the symbol of the city, the Tűztorony (Fire Tower) and only 100 metres from the Liszt Ferenc conference hall. Clean and modern room with two bedrooms and tv in each room, coffee machine with complimentary coffe capsules, amazing breakfast and great staff. Will return for sure when in Sopron!

Hotel Civitas is located in Sopron’s city centre, a 10-minute walk away from the train and bus stations and close to the city's medieval monuments and palaces. Loved the warm welcome from reception, spacious room with comfortable beds, smelt lovely too, great selection at breakfast served by cheerful restaurant staff, great price and also close to town centre and railway station
