I liked everything. It was my best birthday with a view. The restaurant is very good. The most sweet for me thing was, when I asked about the cheese I liked, the girl immediately answered: oh, it‘s from this mountain! It’s so nice to eat cheese not from the supermarket, but „from the local mountain“. Thank you!

The view from the hotel rooms and from the restaurant was amazing. The service was great and the food at the restaurant both breakfast and dinner was fresh and delicious. European standards and Swiss specialties, something for everyone. The hotel location was excellent, we were able to access many beautiful hiking trails by foot.
Located next to the Walenstadt train station, Hotel Churfirsten is a 10-minute walk from Lake Walensee in the Holiday Region Heidiland. It features free Wi-Fi.

The village was only a stay for my ski vacation on the slopes of Flumserberg. During winter season there is an easy access with a cable car to the ski areal. One can make hikes in the surroundings with great views of the Lake Walen (Walensee).
In the village there are only two or three places where to eat, one of them is the restaurant at Hotel Restaurant Knobelboden which is by my opinion preferable.
