Everyone did their best to make the stay enjoyable. Area handy for multiple interesting visits and sailing on the broads.

Lovely location especially for nice walks along the broads and can do a great walk to Horsea beach. Lovely restaurants and Cafe near by. Quiet place. Lots to do. Would recommend as a romantic getaway and if you want to visit the broads in a central location. It is also great for being near the beach and lovely nature walks.

We are new to Norfolk - it took a day or two to get used to the different landscape. It did grow on us and there is something quaint about the village - its atmosphere and light.
We ate at the Boat Inn at Acle which is a real family place and in a lovely setting by the water. Traditional pub food and lovely garden. Staff very welcoming.
We also went to the King's Head in Fleggburgh - really delicious meal - beautifully presented -
We loved Mundeseley beach and Sheringham.

The accommodation was lovely, we had the Captain's cabin which was perfect and hidden away. there was a wedding in progress in the wedding venue next to the bedroom but the music finished at 10.30pm so not too bad, if you dont want any noise, perhaps choose the Crow's nest room, we will try that next time. We a lunch, 2 evening meals and 2 breakfasts there-it was all excellent, v large portion so excellent value, you can ask for smaller portions. The boathouse is set in beautiful surroundings- we would imagine ideal for weddings, that part of the venue looked perfect. The bedrooms were clean and comfortable and staff were very kind and responsive and deserve a pat on the back! A very good all round break.
