We visited Sausalito Sunday and Monday during spring break. Sausalito is full of live, people shopping, walking around. However, only after 11-12. In the morning everything is closed... no one on the streets. We were wondering where everyone was.

Wonderful place to stay!
Wonderful place to stay! Planned on going to the city however never got there. Spent a lot of time at Ft. Baker, another nice place!
Always go to Spinacker for dinner, really disappointing, like a cafeteria now. No intimate dining anymore, too congested and rush you in and out. sad

You must bring and prepare all your own meals. Be advised! Continental breakfast is falsely advertised. The grounds are absolutely beautiful. Everyone I came in contact with was incredibly friendly. Vibe + energy was killer! Reasonable rates and clean rooms!

This small town will capture your heart and make you want to stay. We went to see what the Otis Redding song was about and could see straight away why the place was inspirational. The light changing over the San Francisco skyline at any time of day means you can get lost in the sunshine, dream on, and eat in the most idyllic settings. The ferry trip over via Triburon and Angel Island sets the scene and leads into a relaxing stay.

Very quaint relaxing, clean and a stark contrast to across the bay. Sausalito is an artsy town with lovely shops and easy access to the freeway Golden Gate bridge and the ferrys that will take you to San Francisco Oakland or Tiburon. There is not a bad view from the city.
Wonderful location. Walking distance to everything of interest. Very comfortable room with great bedding. Convenient (paid) parking within easy walking distance. I could imagine the lot being full though during high season. I had to wait about 15 minutes for a slot to open when I arrived early afternoon on a Saturday. The AC worked well and there was a well supplied coffee/tea set-up. Great water pressure in the sink and shower. I thoroughly enjoyed my first visit to Sausalito and will definitely return and choose this hotel again!
A completely laid back and relaxing stay, woke up with the patio doors open overlooking the bay and stayed under the duvet for an extra half an hour just because we could. Parking was fine and a minutes walk from all of Sausalitos fine eateries and shops. The owner recommended Poggio Trattoria for a meal...it was amazing, we went there twice, and he even let me use his fridge in reception to cool a few beers to have on the patio before going out. Thanks for a great end to an emotional holiday.
The inn was in a beautiful older home just around the corner from the main shopping street in Sausalito. Our room was large with a king-sized bed and fireplace. It had its own entrance off the porch with a table and chairs right outside. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was super nice. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Our room was spotless and smelled great.
The location was perfect. The value was really good. The room was very nice and offered a fabulous view. The bathroom was very well equipped with lots of towels and toiletries. Overall, the hotel was quaint and in keeping with the experience one thinks of having when visiting Sausalito.
The room for handicapped was excellent; much better equipped than similar rooms in more expensive hotels where I’ve stayed. It even includes a fold-down cedar bench in the walk-shower. The hotel also is a short and comfortable walk to shops and restaurants in downtown Sausalito.
We've stayed at this hotel before and really love the location. We knew we were going to be using the ferry, so it is perfect for that! We could watch fog move in and out all over the bay, but it never visited us in Sausalito itself, which made weather and views fabulous.
Location was great. Room was great and wide, the bed is comfortable and all is very clean. Staff is very friendly and helpful. All around is plenty o restaurants and shops so you just go out and can enjoy a nice walk through Sausalito.
Casa Madrona Hotel and Spa was great!! we truly enjoyed our stay. Our room was spacious and clean. The view was better than expected. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We highly recommend and would certainly stay there again.
this place was an absolute disaster........horrible room about 20 steep steps to get to to. 0ver $900....not worth $200......we would never recommend this hotel to anyone........should be used for homeless. LIKED NOTHING !!!!!
It is beautiful the whole property and amazing view of Sausalito. Room was lovely, cleaned daily. So worth the money. They let us store our luggage for a couple of days which was so nice of them. Staff friendly.
The location of the hotel is perfect, right on the waterfront. The room was comfortable and the bathroom was really well stocked. I liked the selection of coffees and the bathroom amenities.
Sausalito is great. 15mins by ferry to San Fran, but it’s own microclimate which is warm when SF ain’t. Great fun nights out and proper locals to meet, which all greet you with open arms.
The location was amazing; walking distance to everything in Sausalito. The view from our balcony was beautiful. The staff was very attentive and friendly. The room was quaint and cozy.
