Everything about this hostel exceeded my expectations. The location is fantastic—quiet yet close to everything in Sydney, including the train station, cafes, and nightlife. The beds were super comfortable with privacy curtains, personal lights, and power sockets, which made it feel like my own little space. The place was always clean and well-maintained, and the free breakfast was a great bonus. Most of all, the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything. It had a cozy and social vibe that made it easy to meet other travelers.

Lovely hotel, great location and amazing staff! I’ve stayed here a few times and every time I’m very satisfied with how kind the staff is. I asked for a late checkout and was given this no issues. When I had to leave even later due to a moved work meeting, the staff accommodated me without any issues at all which I really appreciated. Thank you again!

It was great, check in was simple and was greeted by a helpful and cheerful worker. The facilities were clean and all the other guests were nice. Did not spend too much time at the venue except for sleeping and the room we had (2 of us in a room for 3) was sufficient. The mattress was comfortable. They had a nice fan in the room. It was more than expected.

I really enjoyed my stay at Mad Monkey East Side and would stay there again. The staff were friendly and the facilities and rooms were cleaned daily. The hostel hosts nightly events, including a couple free dinners which I haven’t seen at a hostel before! The location was amazing just across the street from the train station and bus stops. There’s also a lot of restaurants and shops nearby for convenience. I would recommend staying at this property!

Mad Monkey Kings Cross is all about location - right in the midst of Kings Cross with bars, restaurants & cafes all around.
