The place was surprisingly spacious with a huge open living room, very modern and well equipped. Communication with the host through booking DMs was quick and clear. We got a pretty good deal considering the prices in Ghent. You had to go through their own online platform in order to fully make the reservation, which was slightly annoying, but it felt well-organized and added some benefits like not needing to meet with the host in person.

Van der Valk Hotel Gent is the ideal base for a relaxing city trip, where modern design, comfort, and experience come together.

We are a family of 5 and at the time of booking, we requested two connected rooms. A day before arrival, I contacted the hotel to double-check, and they confirmed that two rooms next to each other had been assigned. The hotel was truly wonderful; check-in was extremely quick and smooth, and the location is very quiet—about 10-minute drive from the city center, with paid parking available on-site. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel features an excellent Italian restaurant, and the breakfast was top quality. We would gladly return to this hotel on future visits to Belgium and the beautiful city of Ghent. Front desk is outstanding with great simle all time :).

The hotel is located in Gent, only 1640 feet from the historical city center.
