Lovely old building with original sweeping spiral staircase. Lots of original features and the property has been sensitively adapted for guests.
Very friendly, helpful staff and the owner was very accommodating and affable.

Staff were professional and very friendly. Attention to detail was impressive and exceeded our expectations. The room was equipped with everything you could possibly need plus a 24 hour Pantry with complimentary snacks for those late night munchies ;). Would recommend this hotel without hesitation - fabulous!

Near POI, great reception service. Upon request for my parents who can't adapt to the UK weather, staff brought in a remote heater for my parents.
Clean and bright, spacious and we like that there are coffee and teas available in the room. For what UK usually have very thin wall and bad soundproofing, i think this hotel has done quite well.
Like that there is a swimming pool but due to limited time in Brighton we didn't get to enjoy it. It's a shame.

The hotel has its own charm, and considering the fact that it is a 200-yer-old building, a lot can be forgiven. Don´t expect luxurious modern facilities (which you would get in a modern hotel for the similar price), rather be prepared for austere room facilities, a bathroom that has already done its thing and smelly carpet in the convoluted corridors. The views from the window are wonderful, the location of the hotel is perfect right next to the beach. Breakfast selection small, but sufficient. Wi-Fi does not work in the room. We were satisfied and despite the mentioned shortcomings I rate it 10. It is something extraordinary that you will not see just like that.

We were upgraded on arrival to a sea view which was fantastic. The room was clean and comfortable. Plenty of tea and coffee and a bottle of water. It was also very handy to have a fridge in the room.
