I stayed here twice, once for one night and then again for 5 nights. Both times the hostel was fantastic! I was in UB during the off season so I was able to get a room all to myself both times which was nice! The hostel offers a great kitchen, clean bathrooms, and a laundry service that I definitely enjoyed. The family who runs it were fantastic and helped me with booking tours, transportation, and were able to answer any questions I asked them. I think during the peak season of tourism, the hostel would be a bit more busy which could be a good/bad thing depending on the person, but either way, I'm glad I stayed here!

My stay at Khubilai hotel was so exceptional. I had a long 13 layover in Ulaanbaatar, andI just wanted somewhere to take a hot shower and take some rest. The thing is that Chinngis Khan airport is far from downtown, and many Mongolian friends told me I might not make it on time I booked a hotel in the city center, so I chose this one. The location is perfect, just 30 minutes by car from the airport. The double bed room was MAJESTIC! with a very high ceiling. For that price, sometimes I wouldn’t get a capsule room in Tokyo. The cleanliness was beyond explanation. Everything was shining. Also I should mention that the staff were very welcoming and helpful. Eventually I did spent the night in Ulaanbaatar and just came back to take a shower and sleep for 1 hour and half. However, I would definitely use this hotel if I visited Mongolia in the future, and highly recommend it to everyone visiting Ulaanbaatar.

Large, clean, spacious apartment right in the heart of the city. Lots of eateries and stores everywhere. Anand was the perfect host. We had a car and parking is tricky in the UB city center, but Anand took us to a very safe and easily accessible parking spot that made moving our car in the chaos of the city easy and convenient.
