Family hotels and homes in Yangshuo

Dreamland Inn seems like a new and family run business, the receptionist was really kind and knew how to speak some English which is not a requirement but always super helpful. They were accommodating and even helped us pay our climbing guide when we had issues. They had a complementary breakfast for us and always offered tea or water. The Inn is tucked away in a more village part of town but it had the most perfect view of the mountains. The room we stayed in had a queen bed and a patio where we just admired the mountains and rested on after a few busy days in Guilin and a rock climbing session. We had tickets to leave late in the evening and the Inn let us rent a scooter to drive around Yangshuo where we saw Moon Hill and a rock cave. When we got back we still had time to kill so they let us hang around in the dining area for a bit. They had just adopted a kitten and so we just played with it till we had to go.

I had an amazing time. The staff was super helpful and nice. The facilities are perfect to relax after a long day of bicycle. I would recommend this hotel.

Beautiful architecture and beautiful environment

This is the most beautiful setting for a hotel, overlooking the river and a view of the mountains it is so tranquil! The interiors are lovely and modern, and they offer free afternoon tea every day which was such a lovely touch. The staff were so kind and made us feel very welcome. They helped us to plan our itinerary, transfers and we hired electric scooters from them too. We couldn’t have asked for more, we just wish we had longer! (One thing to note is that the bikes are not free that are mentioned in the description- but they aren’t expensive either)

I think the place has a very pleasant atmosphere, Lily can give great advice and you feel in good hands, especially for those into outdoor activities like climbing and hiking.

The hotel is nice, with modern design, no TV (which I actually like), and great hostel-like reception with books, fresh water, post cards… washing machines and free washing powder in the last floor and renting motorbikes and bicicles is veeeeeery cheap. The reception guy was AWESOME! He doesn’t stop until he gets you whatever need or wish you have. Even if he doesn’t get any money out of it! Always with a smile, very good English, and with great coffee for a very low price.

Excellent location in quieter part of the town

After travelling from Beijing and doing a long hike on the Great Wall my 2 nieces and myself were looking for a few days of relaxation and a chance to re-charge before heading to the bustling city of Shanghai. The Yangshuo River Lodge met all our needs and more! The building itself is really lovely, lots of intricately carved wood that makes you feel like you are staying in a very grand old imperial hotel without feeling too high brow or stuffy, but the rooms and amenities are very modern and done with taste and contemporary design - from the fixtures in the bathroom to the ornate windows, everything is perfectly designed, with comfortable beds and lots of space in the rooms and lovely balconies with table and chairs for sitting in the evenings and enjoying the surrounding karst mountains, which have to be seen to be believed! The locale of this hotel is perfect, just far enough out of town to be peaceful and tranquil. The rooms are spotlessly clean and fresh towels provided every day, and plenty of hot water in the shower. The hotel sent a van to pick us up as we got off the boat from Guilin, which makes it very easy to get to the hotel, however we found that in the following days of exploration we were close enough to Yangshuo that we could easily ride the free bicycles provided by the hotel, or walk into town (about a 30 minute walk). And after long days of riding around the countryside, coming back to the pool was a highlight. The pool is very well maintained and looks out over gardens to the river, and was never crowded. The hotel has a kitchen and bar and we really enjoyed the meals we had at the hotel, and this being with someone who lives in Shanghai and has really embraced Chinese cuisine! The staff are truly one of the best things about this hotel, thank you to Jenny and staff, they speak excellent English and are so kind and helpful with any travel or tour info you might need.

We loved the hotel from the second we stepped onto the proprety. The front yard was cosy and was a lovely place to have breakfast or dinner. Our daughter could roam around without any danger. The food was amazing and the whole staff was super friendly. English was spoken as well. During our whole trip in China this was our favorite place and we felt sad leaving it. The rooms have a vintage feel and look, the bathroom was modern. The location, the view from the pool, the staff, the food was extraordinary.

We loved every minute of our 10-day stay at Eden! The staff were incredibly friendly and the view from the rooms were beautiful. Very peaceful and quiet in this part of Yangshuo, and we were glad we decided to stay out here. There are small markets nearby, and a bunch of restaurants you can walk to. Also a place to rent an e-bike right across the street. Would definitely return again!
