The location was beautiful and extremely quiet, the hotel was extremely cozy and comfortable, facilities in the room were great especially the shower, the staff were the best part, they went above and beyond to make the stay even better.

Very friendly , kind , respectful personal. So clean and tidy rooms , and very delicious foods - breakfast’ ( i really wanna thank all of them for the respect and kindness of them , we had really enjoyed and they made our vacation extra perfect: with them and their personalitys they showed that still there is in the world kindness and valued people). -Your guests from Afghanistan!

Stunning countryside setting! Conveniently close to local amenities by car / a short walk to the town, but was a very quiet and peaceful. Great walks over the fields right on the doorstep. Easy parking outside the room and a decent, well equipped kitchen if you want to cook.

Really enjoyed our stay here staff were very friendly and welcoming we met the owners and their pets which was a nice bonus surprise and whilst we didn't spend much time in the room itself because we were out exploring the area everything was absolutely spotless and the bed was really comfortable best nights sleep ive had in a long time also thankfully everything we came to see was around a 5 minute drive from the property which was perfect after the 3 hour drive to get there!!

We loved staying at the Market Tavern in Bampton! Sean greeted us, checked us in and helped with bags. He also made sure we had a dinner reservation which we appreciated. Sean was especially helpful & all service and staff were excellent! We walked the Downton Mile which was our main purpose for staying in Bampton. We drove to Highclere Castle for our tour, which was about an hour drive. But I'm so glad we chose to stay at Market Tavern in Bampton for two nights. We loved the coziness of the Market Tavern, totally enjoyed sitting in the lobby for drinks too!

The hosts were very kind to allow us to check in several hours early, as we needed to dress for a wedding that started at 2pm. They also were relaxed about us leaving a little later than check out time. The farm is quiet and beautiful. We had 2 bedrooms, and a well-equipped little kitchen area - it would have been perfect for a family with children, or someone who wanted to make their own meals. We did not use the game / exercise room, but we noted that it was there and would have been great if we had been staying longer. I really appreciated the milk in the fridge for my morning coffee!
