Family hotels and homes in Panajachel

Spectacular experience, I would recommend to have a more wide menu but the facilities and the staff were incredible. The view is unbelievable, and the rooms are very comfy.

Great location, amazing view from the huge terrace and fantastic people. Not to mention the delicious freshly cooked breakfast! Private parking too. I'd add a hammock to the inviting terrace - for people who want to chill or have a nap outside.:) Keep up the god job!

The breakfast supplies were a great start on our first morning there. Plenty of eggs, black beans, and bread. And lots of coffee supplies and orange juice.

Spacious rooms, incredible forest location

A little hidden gem, is outside the town of Panajachel. Quaint, with pool and its own little beach. We didn't want to leave!

The grounds of Jardines del Lago are beautiful. The hotel is famous for hosting events (weddings, parties, etc.) and was busy during our stay. The hotel is very close to the public lanchas for crossing the lake. The restaurant and wifi were excellent.

The location of this hotel with views of Lake Atitlan, and close to the main shopping and dining areas of Panajachel made it a perfect choice. Sunset views were magnificent! To top it off, very friendly and professional staff

The food here is outstanding & beautifully presented. Our breakfast hearty (scrambled eggs with ham, onion & tomato served with caramelized plantain, a small bowl of whole black beans, a slice of lovely cheese and fresh fruit. I also had the chicken Milanesa for a late lunch/early supper and it was perfect - moist, fluffy breading, served with a rich guacamole, healthy green salad and possibly the best fries I’ve ever had. Kudos to the chef! Also - if you’ve been disappointed by frappe’s in Mexico or Guatemala, I had to have two of them here because they were made with real coffee, and had a full bodied flavour that was refreshing and energizing at the same time. Far better than Starbucks - something I will return for. The staff were lovely and helpful. There was confusion over the price because the owner wanted to charge me for the commission fee, but as someone who worked in the hotel industry, I understand this to be their responsibility for the fact that Booking puts their hotel in front of the world. Oh my end, the price was listed as $700 Quetzals plus $154 in Taxes. This is $854. The owner wanted to charge me over $1000 quetzals, and I declined. She was amicable in waiving the fee, and if there is some discrepancy, I hope she can get this sorted out with Booking because the price quoted to the guest is the price the guest should pay. Should the price be higher to cover this cost? I don’t think so. It is a very basic accommodation, and my bed was not very comfortable, so I don’t consider this a luxury stay nor a boutique experience. In fact, since they knew there were two of us, they might have put the two single beds together to make one big bed (making 2 big beds) rather than giving us one big bed and 2 single beds. I felt like my bed was a bit lopsided and sloping towards the floor. I hope they will consider replacing the single bed beside the wall or just putting another double in there.
