Family hotels and homes in Kennington

Beautifully appointed cottage in lovely gardens. Very nice hosts too!

A fantastic property in a quiet rural setting, but still only a short drive to shops, restaurants, parks and other attractions The hosts were extremely friendly and catered for our every need, including gluten and dairy free breakfast options. Highly recommended!

Good room, good food - great place.

Absolutely brilliant stay. Top notch with customer service and support, cleanliness and comfort. Highly recommend

good location, great Staff, super clean.

Well presented and comfortable unit. Picked because of the location close to the museum which was perfect plus having stayed before knew the units are top notch and comfy.

Location suited us really well

Tired of soulless motels and noisy trucks humming past all night? Pick a spot on a quiet street and get a great night's rest at Richmond Grove Homestay. Much recommend to give this homely setting a try when in Invercargill.

This was a beautiful home with beautiful gardens. The landscaping was superb, the home was fun with its angles and architecture and hidden gems. The kitchen was fully equipped. It was quiet, close to good restaurants and just all round perfect for us. Tara was very communicative.

Great facilities. Very comfortable. Good value for money. Everything we needed.

Denise was awesome and so cheerful. She recommended walks and pubs in the area. Room was beautiful with teal accents and a full kitchen. Amazing water pressure too.

Big, roomy with a well stocked kitchenette. Wish we had planned more nights here.

Comfortable stay in a good location. The house is well equipped. Communicative host which makes check in and out a breeze.

Location was good, close to everything quiet nice area, walking distance. House was nice and clean with separate kitchen, spacious bedroom, staff was very friendly and helpful, would recommend this villa who are coming in Invercargill. Thank you Anu!!

Loved everything about this place - would highly recommend

Location was OK. Have to cross 4 lane busy street to get to anything.

The size of the living room, bedroom, and bathroom. The cleanliness and the facilities.

Very convenient..good comfortable beds. Easy check in. Functional kitchen

Best night sleep and the shower was awesome

I stayed here in mid-September 2025. The motel reflects the province of Southland – spacious and hospitable. The management were very accommodating and flexible. The rates were very reasonable. Included in the rate, free of charge was the location. Very near Queens Park (for those ex-pats visiting home) and very near the CBD, all within easy walking distance. Big rooms, very clean, comfortable, parking and safe (despite Invercargill being a very safe spot anyway), and a very quiet area. Easy to find and to drive into.

Very comfortable rooms with all amenities. Friendly and attentive staff.
