Wonderful place for our overnight stay of 6. Very spacious, very clean and comfortable. Bedrooms and bathrooms were very nice. Hot tub was very relaxing and the front deck is great to hang out on. Stay was enjoyed by all. We will be back.

The cabin was a quaint little comfy home. Enjoyed the fire pit. The hot tub was very relaxing. The cabin had all of the amenities needed.

Historical area. Bed and breakfast. Breakfast included and it was great. Wedding reception was held there and we all had a great time. Met great and friendly people and employees . Great menu and chefs. Lots of historical site seeing, bunkers from the civil war,etc etc.

Zen River Retreat is located in Stanardsville, just 26 miles from John Paul Jones Arena and 28 miles from Scott Stadium. Guests staying at this vacation home have access to a balcony.

We arrived 4 adults and 6 older children. There was room for everyone! The beds are super comfortable!!! Clean, tidy and equipped with everything you need. We had a great experience, highly recommend!!

From the moment we entered the Inn and spoke to the front desk person (Fred), we were treated very well. All of the staff could not have been more accommodating. The Inn was gorgeous and very clean. Our room was very comfortable with a lovely view. Although we arrived in November and could not truly appreciate the grounds, it seems very well cared for. We also had a lovely meal(one of the best on our month long touring) at the Speakeasy. The breakfast, the following morning was also excellent (recommend the Eggs Benedict). Truly regretted leaving. Would recommend to anyone travelling in the Shenandoah Valley.

I liked the homey feel of the location. It wasn't like staying in a huge chain hotel and felt more cozy like if I had rented an entire house even though it was just my own room and the common areas.
