Basecamp Wales offers family-run hostel accommodation in Llanllyfni, on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park and 30.3 km from Pen-Y-Pass and 8.2 km to the beach at Dinas Dinlle. Free WiFi is offered in public areas and free private parking is available on site. It was an incredibly beautiful place, and what made it even more special was the warm welcome I received upon arrival and the kind farewell when I left. I truly wished I could have stayed at the hotel for an entire month. I will definitely be visiting again in the coming days, and I highly recommend this accommodation to anyone looking for a wonderful place to stay—it really is exceptional. I’m already planning to return and stay for a longer period next time. My little ones absolutely loved the animals nearby, especially the chickens. They truly enjoyed the place.

Built by a visionary architect in 1925, Portmeirion Village & Castell Deudraeth overlooks the beautiful Dywryd Estaury. Located just south of the coastal village of Porthmadog on a private peninsula, the hotel offers a spa and wellness centre, an on-site mini market, a bar and a restaurant. Love the Castle and the Priors. The room no. 6 in the hotel did not have a fridge and we would have appreciated to have a fridge. If we plan to come back we would stay at the Castle or at the Priors. We found that the price for the hotel was too expensive compared to the one at the Castle. For the same, the room at the Castle was much better. But that said, we enjouée a lot our stay. Personnel was great.

In the mornings, guests can enjoy continental or full Welsh breakfast in the Glaslyn Lounge. Al fresco dining can be enjoyed on the terrace, which boasts panoramic views of the mountains. Family meals and Sunday lunches are served in The Glaslyn Lounge, and intimate dining is available in Y Bistro. A carvery is served every Sunday and features a choice of 3 locally sourced meats. The facility is well manicured the plants all trimmed back and super healthy. Great paths and trails to explore. The staff was more than accommodating and, the food served in the restaurant was well prepared and served nice and hot!

With a magnificent location, surrounded by the stunning natural beauty and dramatic scenery of the Snowdonia National Park, the Tynycornel Hotel looks out over its own 222-acre fishing lake.

With the majestic mountains of Cader Idris reflected in its waters, Tal-y-Llyn Lake is more than a scenic asset; the hotel owns the lake, which is noted for its superb fishing. Tynycornel was a well-known fishing hostelry as early as 1800 and guests enjoy priority access to Tal-y-Llyn's prized waters, together with fine river fishing. The staff were excellent, could not have done any more for us, kind, friendly and responsive to all requests. The setting is beautiful and the hotel very comfortable. We highly recommend this small hotel.

Situated in Pennal, 35 km from Aberystwyth Golf Club, Glan Yr Afon features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a restaurant and a bar. This 4-star hotel offers free WiFi. The property is non-smoking and is located 35 km from Clarach Bay. I would definitely stay here again. Loved being right above the pub in such a pretty and quiet village. The room was very comfortable, great bed. The bathroom too was well designed and modern. Strong shower in particular. The breakfast was alright. The staff were so friendly and kind, I only wish someone had been knowledgeable enough to give me more recommendations about what to do in the area besides the obvious things.
