Sigiriya Kings Resort was the hidden gem during our stay in Sri Lanka. It is a place surrounded by nature and very quiet. There is a big pond that is right next to the lodge where you can see frogs and many many birds. The rooms are high standard, good and silent air conditioning, good shower with amenities, bathrobe, and a flash light. The people were extremely friendly and attentive. I could only touch a sun umbrella and within seconds somebody was there to help me. The continental breakfast was superb and we enjoyed it every day. Fresh juice, smoothie, yoghurt, eggs/bacon/beans, fruits, and sweets. We usually don’t eat dinner at the restaurant of the hotel but ended eating at this place every evening. The meals were so delicious and worth the price. Recommendation: Tom Yum soup and everything on the SKR specials page! They have multiple trips that they offer and arrange for you. We booked the safari in Hurulu. They knew exactly where the elephants were these days and we saw around 40 of them also very close up. Big thanks to our guide Samantha for the awesome experience🎉 And not to forget the lovely view to Lions Rock and Pidurangala. We took one of their bikes to make a nice 1.5h ride to the base of the Lions Rock and city center. It’s a cool way to discover the surroundings. We enjoyed everything and want to say big thanks to the owner and staff for taking such good care and making our stay unforgettable. ❤️

I had an amazing stay at Sigiriya Water Guest & View Point Restaurant! The host was incredibly helpful, offering personalised tips and local knowledge that made exploring Sigiriya even more enjoyable. The view of Sigiriya Rock from the rooftop was absolutely breathtaking – a true highlight of the experience. My expectations were exceeded in every way, and I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. The location is also perfect for exploring the area. I highly recommend this property to anyone visiting Sigiriya.

Anil has been a fantastic host. He's very welcoming, funny, helpful and generous. He drove us to all places and cooked us with his wife delicious dinners at unbeatable prices. The breakfasts were also amazing. His place is nice and quiet, well located and the swimming is a great addition. Definitely recommended for a great experience in Sigiriya

If i can describe WGS in one world i would say heaven on earth! Beautiful property, rooms were spacious and modern, the staff were amazing, very welcoming and always ready to help in anything you want! The food was delicious as well as the yoga classes!     A beautiful hotel with superb views of Sigirya Rock. The hotel employees, in particular Tharashi at reception and Lal the room boy, are highly recommended for their hospitality. Breakfast is plentiful with choice of European and local food. Cleaniness excellent. Hotel decor very pleasing to the eye. 5 star service in this highly recommended hotel. Ideally located to visit all the sites in the area including Sigiriya Rock, Minneriya National Park and the ancient ruins at Sigiriya among so many other things to see.
