On Ireland’s beautiful east coast, Powerscourt Hotel is a 5-star hotel tucked away in the woodlands of County Wicklow. There are stunning spa facilities and an award-winning restaurant, Sika.

Opulently furnished rooms all have marble baths, separate rainforest showers and featherbeds. Many rooms have floor-to-ceiling windows, panoramic views and terraces. All have a seating area and free Wi-Fi. The room was outstanding, we were given I think an upgraded room which was huge and nicely appointed.

The Grill & Bar features an open kitchen, cocktail bar and panoramic views. It is located on the mezzanine level and features dishes such as Tomahawk steak and lobster. The entire property was beautiful and the location was centrally located in the center of Ireland.

Rooms have baths and power showers, anti-mist mirrors, luxurious bathrobe, slippers and Murdock toiletries. They also feature LCD TVs, iPod compatible music systems and free internet connections. The staff were amazing. You felt like they all really enjoyed working at this hotel. They were all extremely helpful, entertaining, knowledgeable and kind. Our stay was worth every penny of the price.
