We just stayed for 1 night after an evening out in Solothurn. The room was very nice, included an excellent breakfast and the rate was quite reasonable. We got there when it was pitch dark and woke up to the beautiful surroundings on top of the Weissenstein. This is not an out-and-out luxury hotel but it absolutely delivers for the price.

The Parkforum Wylihof is surrounded by the wonderful Baroque gardens park and is located on the river Aare, amid the golf course Wylihof near Solothurn. It offers free Wi-Fi and free parking.

The room was of exceptional quality; the beds, shower, doors, lighting, all was truly exceptional and finished with high quality materials. Nothing felt cheap, worn out, etc. The checking in was very easy and convenient. We also liked the location on a golf park which was quiet and green. We also enjoyed the restaurant on the same site which served very tasty food in a classy ambiance.

The property is ideally located. It’s about a 15 minute walk from the train station. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from the many shops and stores in the old town. The staff are very friendly and efficient. I stayed 3 times within a 3 week span of time and was able to check in early on all occasions. The rooms are clean, a good size, and well appointed. I would definitely stay here again.
