Very nice, old style but classic hotel. Staff very supportive and food was very good

Breakfast and dinners were exquisite which included beautiful presentations and crockery. The hosts were very attentive and warm.

The room was beautiful, I loved the view and the little touches like the gorgeous teapot. The onsens were wonderful, especially the larger outdoor one. I’d go back just for the onsen. The location was also good, opposite a gondola and a chairlift.

We have had a very remarkable stayed at omiya ryokan with fully retreated in a Japanese local life style we will comeback to this place again..

Great hotel near the Yamagata Station, about 5 minutes walk. The room was quite spacious and clean. It was easy to comunicate with the staff as they spoke perfect English. For breakfast we had to choose Western style set or Japanese style. We liked everything about our stay. Highly recommend!

I booked this hotel without much expectation, mainly for the convenience of traveling to Ginzan Onsen. But once I checked in, I felt a bit regretful that I didn’t have more time to stay. The hotel is beautiful and clean, the staff are lovely, and they even upgraded my room. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious. The public onsen was beautiful, clean, and very inviting, and there was even a private onsen in the room. The hotel is beautifully decorated with plenty of photo spots throughout.

Really nice ganbanyoku - heated stone to lie on. Rooms very spacious, and had mattresses. Meals were delicious.

Staying here was honestly one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. Make sure to get the meal service for dinner and breakfast, it was beyond incredible. We knew enough Japanese to communicate the basics, and every staff person was incredibly kind and accommodating.
