Miyajima
Authentic Japanese cuisine featuring fresh seafood is served at restaurant Shioji in a stylish contemporary setting, and in more traditional surroundings at Kappo Karaku. The Miyajima Arimoto also offers a coffee lounge, a bar and a Japanese noodle restaurant. Excellent service. Amazing dinner and breakfast. The open air bath and the views in our room were spectacular!

Located in Miyajima with Five Storey Pagoda and Itsukushima Shrine nearby, Kinsuikan provides accommodation with free private parking, as well as access to a hot spring bath. Among the facilities of this property are a restaurant, a lift and full-day security, along with free WiFi throughout the property. The accommodation features luggage storage space and a housekeeping service for guests. The dinner was incredible! They brought it to our room and had an English menu to explain what the different food items were. The onsen was also very nice and we also enjoyed having drinks in the rooftop bar area! I would definitely stay here again!

Located in the World Heritage Miyajima Island, Iwaso features Japanese-style accommodations with beautiful surrounding views. Guests can relax in the indoor and outdoor hot-spring baths and request for massages. A free shuttle is available from Miyajima Ferry Terminal, which is also a 5-minute walk away. The environment is magical, with a small bridge leading to the forest. The building is splendid, clean, soft and decorated with a refined taste. The diner was exceptional (best sashimi I ever ate), and the onsen was also exceptionnal to enjoy.

Located along Hiroshima's shoreline opposite Miyajima Island, known for World Heritage Site, Itsukushima Shinto Shrine, Aki Grand Hotel offers western and Japanese style rooms, free parking and 4 dining options. Hiroshima Station is a 30-minute train ride away. Aki Grand Hotel provides a free shuttle service to Miyajima Station, which is a 5-minute drive away. Free on-site private parking area is available for guests. Free WiFi is available in all rooms. This is the place to stay if you want to take advantage of all that Miyajima has to offer. They have a bus shuttle service from the train station to the hotel, but even if you don't use it, the hotel is still within walking distance of the train station/ferry. Very spacious rooms and comfortable beds, with quite an interesting bedside console to control all the lights and the aircon. Lovely view from the balcony as well and very helpful staff. The Japanese restaurant within the hotel also served delicious food! Sadly, I didn't have time to check out the pool and the onsen, but hopefully I will have the opportunity to do so next time.

2.5 km from Tsutsumigaura Beach in Miyajima, Hotel Miya Rikyu features accommodation with access to a sauna, spa facilities and public bath. Featuring sea and mountain views, this ryokan also offers free WiFi. The accommodation provides a 24-hour front desk, a lift and luggage storage for guests. Hotel Miyu Rikyu is perfectly situated along the waterfront just a few steps from Miyajima Ferry. We had a sea view room and could see the Otori Gate from our window. The setting and room were very. beautiful, Sleeping on the traditional futons on tatami mats was comfortable, and the set 12 course menu was delicious (though could be challenging for picky eaters). Breakfast buffet was varied and plentiful. Note that we were the only foreigners during our stay and the staff does speak English but it is a much more traditional Ryokan. On site onsen (public bath) was very nice with a small view out to the sea from the top floor.

Comfortable futon beds, very good Japanese breakfast, excellent location, nice hotel staff.
Everything, the staff were so friendly and helpful, the location is amazing, a 3 minute walk from the ferry, right on the Main Street. Our hotel room had an incredible view where you could see the floating Torii from the room, and the whole bay. The dinner was supper delicious and the Japanese breakfast too. The outdoor baths (onsen) on the roof was incredible, as you can see the whole bat and the torii. The only shame is we didn’t stay longer.
Nice and efficient staff. Perfect location. The room sea view is amazing.Breakfast and dinner delicious
Beautiful hotel, great location, attentive staff, excellent dinner.
Good reasons to stay in Sakuraya: - Location (on the island Miyajima!). - Kindness of the staff. - Japanese style rooms (warning! Sleeping on a Japanese futon might be uncomfortable if you are picky with mattresses). - Onsen in the basement to get a relaxing bath at the end of the day. - Breakfast for 500 yens. The breakfast is not very generous, but it is a good deal for that price.
Good location only minutes away from the ferry terminal and was great to enjoy the onsen after walking around Miyajima. The onsen itself is massive and more on the modern side. Food was good as well and no issue making a vegetarian version for my partner.
Location - right across the road from the ferries to/from Miyajimaguchi and Hiroshima Peace Park; very convenient for island sightseeing esp in the evening. Very generous dinner and breakfast buffets, excellent selection and quality. Friendly bar with happy hour. Public hot bath on the top floor was great.
This is top-notch hotel. Every detail is top quality. The Japanese dinner was absolutely impecable. Location is excellent, free shuttle bus from the pier very convenient. All our requests have been accomodated the attentive staff. The best hotel out of 7 we stayed during our trip to Japan.
Had to climb a few stairs with a toddler and a pram to get to the door but the location was great, the unit was well-maintained and it had some lovely traditional touches with modern amenities. Host was also very responsive.
We were pleasantly surprised by the spacious room. We had the annexe which is actually a separate little traditional Japanese house which has been very nicely modernised while maintaining traditional features. There is a sleeping area and a living area seperated by traditional Japanese screens. The location is excellent, up a quiet road, just a few minutes walk from the famous floating Tori gates and temples of Miyajima. The host spoke excellent English and was very helpful.
