We arrived in the morning and the proprietor was able to give us our room early. When we departed, his wife kindly drove us to the railway station as it was raining.

Drifters Inn Hanmer Springs is 2 minutes’ drive from Hanmer Springs Golf Course and Woodland Walk Recreation Reserve. Christchurch International Airport is 133 km away. Excellent location right opposite the hot springs. Wonderful welcome by Debbie at reception who also gave us an orientation of the inn. Excellent kitchen facilities you can use if you want to. Very clean and well appointed room. Exceeded our expectations and very good value for money.

Fitted with air conditioning, all rooms feature smart TV and a kitchenette with refrigerator and tea/coffee making facilities. Some units come with a spa bath or hot tub. Great place to stay. Staff really friendly and helpful. Clean, comfortable room with everything I needed. Having laundry facilities and towels for use at the hot springs was great too.

The place was clean and spacious and had everything we needed. Check in and out process quite straightforward, and they even gave us a late check out. Parking available but we didnt use it. We walked to local restaurant.

Heated chalets feature wood panelling and come with full kitchen. They offer parking space, a DVD player and comfortable lounge areas. Helpful staff;good location handy to everything ; manager was excellent .

All rooms are serviced daily. Location was good and the entire unit is clean and tidy. Most importantly, the bedroom and bathroom is superb - comfortable and clean. The host is friendly and welcoming. Overall, it was a pleasant stay and it feels like home. Recommended to stay :)
