My husband and I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Milima Big 5 Safari Lodge in the Greater Kruger area in South Africa, and it was, without a doubt, one of the most remarkable experiences of our lives. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the breathtaking beauty of the lodge and its surroundings. The lodge perfectly blends luxury and nature, offering an authentic yet comfortable safari experience. Accommodation: The rooms were beautifully appointed, providing a perfect blend of comfort and elegance. Waking up to the sounds of nature and the sight of the stunning landscape right from our window was a daily delight. Staff: The staff at Milima Big 5 went above and beyond to ensure our stay was memorable. Their warmth and hospitality made us feel right at home. They were attentive, friendly, and always available to assist with anything we needed. Food: The culinary experience was a highlight in itself. Each meal was a delightful adventure, with a variety of delicious dishes that catered to all tastes. The quality and presentation of the food were exceptional, adding to the overall luxury of our stay. Wildlife Experience: The highlight of our trip was undoubtedly the wildlife. Guided by our fantastic guide, Sydney, we embarked on thrilling game drives, witnessing an abundance of animals in their natural habitat. Sydney's knowledge and passion for wildlife enriched our experience, making each sighting more special. Milima Big 5 Safari Lodge is more than just a place to stay; it's a gateway to a magical and unforgettable safari adventure. We left with hearts full of joy and memories that will last a lifetime. Game drives, Never and Mateo's excellent knowledge and personalities. They truly provided a once in a lifetime experience for us, getting close to animals and doing their best to take on any requests. Their local perspective, knowledge and stories added a unique twist compared to other game drives we've done. Never was the outgoing friendly Energetic personality while Mateo added a sense of safety in the bush. As mentioned they both have outstanding knowledge. Never's game drives are like a fun learning experience while driving through the African bush. Mateo has many years of experience in tracking and we enjoyed his in depth knowledge. Wonderful lodge with absolutely amazing staff who made our stay unforgettable. Beautifully decorated bungalows with private balconies overlooking the river. Food was fantastic, service was excellent, overall ten out of ten.

The staff at Phelwana are simply the best. Katie and her team were very accommodating and especially helpful when we had a minor medical emergency. They were the family away from home we needed!

This property is absolutely gorgeous. The people who work here are amazing and kind. We appreciate their work with the vulture conservation and enjoyed watching the vultures through their telescope. We loved every second of our stay and would have loved to have stayed even longer. This was by far our favorite stay on our entire trip!

Our guides were extremely knowledgeable and passionate about wildlife, we had many amazing sightings and learned plenty about the ecosystem. Big thank you to David and Oliver, Ken and Thembi for their wonderful hospitality. We hope to see you again!
