What an amazing little getaway! Cradle View Tented Camp and Venue is the perfect escape from the busy pace of Johannesburg. It’s peaceful, quiet and incredibly relaxing — exactly what you need when you just want to switch off, breathe, and enjoy some time away from the city. The surroundings are beautiful, the atmosphere is calm, and the whole experience gives you that feeling of being far away from the hustle and bustle, while still being close enough to JHB. Definitely a place I would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing break, a bit of tranquillity and some quality time away from the city.

This was exactly what we were looking for, Glamping in the bush!! It is not far from Johannesburg but you feel like you have escaped the city 😊 The staff is very friendly, attentive and helpful- we felt cared for each day. The food is excellent and the little bar is a wonderful place for drinks.

We had an absolutely incredible stay and loved every moment. From the start, Derrick welcomed us warmly and set the tone with his “checkpoints to destination” game. It was genuinely exciting, added a fun sense of adventure, and immediately made the experience feel unique and personal. Being out there felt like a reset. We reconnected with nature in the best way, surrounded by beautiful scenery and a thoughtfully maintained landscape. The property is alive with sound and movement: flowing rivers in the background, birdsong throughout the day, and plenty of wildlife to spot along the way. We saw tortoises, and even baboons, and in the distance we could hear calls that reminded us there was even more out there beyond what we could see. Our tent was genuinely luxurious, with excellent facilities all around. The standout for us was the outdoor viewing shower, which became an instant favourite. There’s something special about ending the day like that and then falling asleep to a peaceful, uninterrupted view of nature. It felt completely blissful. We also enjoyed exploring the property on foot. The pathways are well-kept and easy to follow, and the little lamps at night added such a thoughtful touch, creating a warm, inviting atmosphere after dark. Most importantly, we felt safe and secure throughout our stay. Knowing there’s a well-maintained perimeter with electric fencing gave us real peace of mind, especially at night. Overall, it was an unforgettable experience and we’d gladly come back.

From the gate till we leave,all the staff are super awesome friendly, the game drive lady is funny 🤣🤣. We really enjoyed our time and we definitely coming back soon. The team work of waiters is marvelous. The picnic was set on time and they kept insisting on helping us,😍😍😍. The stay was marvelous. They also supplied us with warm water bottles since it was freezing, everything is top notch.
