The rooms were comfortable and the location was awesome! We were right in the old town very close to a hiking trail up to the castle ruin. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The best part though was dinner at the rest and the provided breakfast. Very very delicious!

The location was beautiful with a great view of the mountains and pleasant outdoor sitting areas in lovely gardens. The breakfast was beyond plentiful, varied, and delicious. If on foot, a bit too far and uphill for getting there from the train station with luggage, but a nice walk to and from town for sightseeing. Small fridge and teas available for snacking.

Completely renovated in 2016, the Schtûbat is located in the village of Andelsbuch in the Bregenz Forest.

Pension Barbara was the highlight of our four week motorbike tour this summer. The house itself is clean, comfortable, new rooms were excellent and we did not want for anything. However what made Barbara the number one place for us were the excellent hosts. This is the place to be for a fun evening and meeting people on the lovely evening terrace. There is a friendly atmosphere and all guests came to spend evenings on the terrace thanks to our wonderful hosts. We had one too many beers and fun times. Great location, friendly host, nice and quite clean rooms, well equipped, comfortable common space with Kitchen. Should I every return to this resort, I'd definitely book it again.
