The room was clean, warm, comfortable and had a good shower. Nice courtyard. Breakfast options are Chinese noodles or toast with jam and a fried egg. Lots of apples. Free laundry and dryer. But the real star is Mandy. She went above and beyond to make my stay as nice as possible. Despite contacting her late at night about wanting to visit the Jade mountain park the next morning, she instantly set up the tour, and helped me communicate with the driver in a WeChat group (side note: since it was booked at the last minute, I ended up with about 3 hours of waiting time between the morning tour at the Blue moon lake and the cable car to the glaciers. It was raining and very, very cold, and no where to wait at the park comfortably. Plus no visibility at the top of the mountain anyway, so I cancelled the trip halfway. Mandy helped with the communication and refunds). Then when I asked her about any English speaking tea shops to try different kinds of Pu'er, she brought me to a shop nearby run by her friend, and even joined us, helpfully translating everything. The three of us sat for a while chatting about tea and random things in life. A perfect way to spend a rainy afternoon

The location is perfect, we felt like we were at home. Beautiful views. Our host, Sisi, was very welcoming and gave us lots of suggestions for our time in Lijiang. She was very responsive and helpful before and during our stay. I became sick during our stay and she was very understanding and offering assistance to make sure I was okay. It was nice to have a kitchen during this part of our trip in China, as we ordered too at a restaurant and we were able to warm up our leftovers the next night and have a night in. We really appreciated our stay and would love to come again.

The staff was incredible - kind, attentive, helpful. There was a language barrier, but that was navigated with phone apps and using the bits of shared language we had. The room and garden outside were beautiful and comfortable - inspiring relaxation. The location was also nice because it was close enough to the tourist spots that we could walk (20 minutes to the “Ancient City”, but still far enough away to be quiet. Also a series of good restaurants near the hotel, so always good choices to eat. Finally, there were many adorable animals - Gary the dog, the pudgy male cat, a lovely Siamese and three perfect kittens - all friendly and non intrusive, they were there if you went to them but never pushed into your space. A splendid way to complete a family friendly hotel.

We highly recommended this homestay to everyone who is coming to Lijiang for the first time. This was actually the highlight of our trip. When we got to the place it was already close to midnight, we were tired but the host greeted us so warmly with hot tea and traditional rose cakes (that she continued to offer us the next days). They helped us with booking cars to travel between Lijiang and other tourist destinations. The homestay itself is situated in a perfect location, accessible to all parts of Lijiang Old Town by foot. It is also very cozy and warm, clean rooms and towels. Thank you for the wonderful experience!

The hosts, Carol and Johnson are amazing, they made us feel like home and took care of us as if we were their old friends. Johnson took us for a hike to the nearest mountain, they explained us all about the area, coocked us tasty breakfast. We also enjoyed the opportunity to share dinner with them and try the food they usually have. They have a very pretty terrace with the view of the Shuhe town, a young very active dog, which has become friends with my kids. We got presents when we left, we will always have a pleasant memory of our stay here!

Great location and really helpful staff. My phone internet stopped working and I needed help getting a taxi. The receptionist went with me and helped me getting a taxi to the right location.
