We had two amazing stays at Ximel house! Hilda and Elvis are so helpful, kind, and accommodating. Hilda helped us do our laundry, stored our luggage during our 5 day trek, and even helped bring us to Flores on a 4:45 am early lancha. The area is lovely, calm, and a short boat ride from Flores. I cannot recommend this place enough!

Beautiful house with 4 rooms and a shared kitchen. The design is sublime. At first I stayed in the biggest king size room with a brautiful huge shower and tub. Absolutely loved it! Then I moved to another smaller room, which wasnt as good. The propety manager Eric was very helpful and tended to every single request and question.

I had a great time at Macarena Hostel! Edwin took excellent care of me and helped arrange everything from taxis to tours. Breakfast is included and the room I stayed in was very comfortable. I have no complaints!

Staff were friendly despite our language difficulties; they made contact the day before and on the day I arrived to guide me to the residence. It was good to have a small communal kitchen, ideal for making breakfast and a drinking water dispenser. Nice little rooftop for looking at the river but it could do with a bit of cleaning and rubbish removal. The bed was quite comfortable. I chose an area away from the busy part to get a good sleep and that paid off; it's at the top of the island but only a 6 minute walk back to the island entrance. Note: if you are walking to the apartment, go around the perimeter, not up the middle, which has uneven cobblestones and steep inclines. Staff were quick to fix things when the water stopped working at one stage.

We loved the view from the rooftop terrace here. We also were able to use the refrigerator and coffee pot, which was a bonus for us.
