Exceptionally quiet rural location , a pefect find after a long day travelling the F35 and a welcome stop before Akureyri. The host managed cheerfully to produce dinner, despite us arriving very near the end of declared meal times.

The rooms were exceptionally clean and very central. A great burger restaurant was nearby. It is not cheap, but the price was reasonable in comparison to other places.

What a generous place. Mikko felt bad and was pulling through, but the lady offered kind help and asked if there was anything we might need that could be available in her fridge. She also gave us a banana with instructions on how it can help with an upset stomach. There are many extras (fruits, drink bottles, etc.) that are not typically available in standard accommodations. It has everything you could ever need.

Set on a former farm, this Öngulsstadir property has an outdoor hot tub offering views of the surrounding valley. All rooms feature a private bathroom and views of Eyjafjördur Fjord.
