Baan Pila is a wonderful small hotel within walking distance to central Luang Prabang as well as the UXO visitor center. The spacious rooms are stylish with all the amenities I would want, such as a hot water kettle, refrigerator, bath robes, slippers, and so on. A small pool in the back yard lets you cool off after a busy day outdoors. Only adults were at the hotel during our stay, no children. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. Each evening, someone greeted us and gave us a breakfast menu so we could check off what we'd like to eat in the morning and approximately what time. Our food arrived freshly made when we got to the breakfast room the next morning: coffee, freshly squeezed juice, fruit, toast, and a main course. The staff also helped us book a driver for a half day excursion and let us pay for it on our hotel bill by credit card rather than having to pay a driver cash, which was preferred for us. Baan Pila is a wonderful hotel and I can't wait to stay there again.

The staff was so welcoming and helpful when it came to checking in, requests, bookings, and arranging taxis to drive into the city. They were friendly with service and inviting. The location of the guesthouse is perfect with a view of the river and not too far from the shops in town.

Closed to many things. Very friendly staff. Sunset cruise voucher was a bonus. They kept our rental scooter inside for safety. They are next door to Big Brother Mouse if you would like to volunteer to practice English with local kids.
