This place is absolutely incredible. The location is idyllic. Remote, yet easily drivable to Ouarzazate and only 5 minutes from Ait Benhaddou. The view from our room, the restaurant and the well-kept swimming pool was nothing short of breathtaking. We went out every night to look at all of the stars as there is no light pollution. You can see so many stars, you feel as though you are under a cozy blanket of them surrounding you. The pool is incredibly refreshing as we went in July when it gets really hot. The restaurant serves incredible breakfasts, which were included with our stay, and very reasonably priced meals for lunch and dinner. The quality of the food is top notch and we enjoyed everything we tried. The manager was kind enough to recommend some traditional Moroccan dishes made that were not listed on the menu and they were wonderfully prepared. Finally, and most importantly, the staff. The staff were amazing and made us feel as though we were welcomed into their own home. They were attentive and even took time to play and talk with our toddler as he explored the hotel lobby! The manager, Lahcen, was so friendly and went out of his way to ensure we had everything we needed. It was a pleasure getting to know Lahcen as he educated us about Berber food, culture, and the history of the region. He was a joy to talk to and so approachable Lahcen and his whole team are simply wonderful and deserve all the praise in the world for their kindness, hospitality and customer service. We checked out of the hotel with heavy hearts as we felt we were leaving our own home. I will happily recommend this hotel to anyone looking to visit Morocco and the region around Ouarzazate.

Quiet location not far from Ait Ben Haddou; friendly English speaking owner; clean and cozy bungelow apartment; good WiFi; on site parking; grounds nicely landscaped; wonderful chef prepared dinners; we enjoyed everything about our stay here.

Hamid was very welcoming and open to share insights on the Berber culture and the area with us. The location and house is beautiful and the food, dinner and breakfast was really tasty! If you are looking for a homestay at a self-build beautiful house with a stunning view, this is it.

The place is magical located just 2km from Ait-ben-Haddou. We woke up early and made our trip there through beautiful gardens of oasis which takes only half an hour and is well worth it to escape the crowds. The room is clean, spacious with comfy bed. The breakfast delicious and as well the dinner.

The location is really nice : very nice village, beautiful lanscapes. Dar Billal is a very nice place for a stay. Lovely place, food, people..

We decided to stop along our road trip and stumbled upon this Riad by luck on Booking. Glad we did. Mohammed was an incredible host, the view was stunning, their cats cuddly and the food exceptional. Totally worth a stop.

Very friendly and welcoming host, he offered us tea and a snack upon our arrival and sat with us to chat. Our room was big, clean and equipped with fresh towels and bed sheets. The location is quiet, well kept and has a private parking. WiFi works well. If requested the kasbah offers dinner service: we ordered two tajines that were delicious, so was breakfast the morning after! Worth staying!

This is an amazing quirky, arty guesthouse in Morocco, the only one that we’ve seen like this and we loved it! Fantastic idea - art gallery, art and music focused, re used materials, these guys have a great idea for what this place will become. Food was lovely, and prepared last minute for us. Views from the terrace and the three cats were a delight!

Packed full of cheesy "Berberish" decor and deserty motif, carpets and tea sets, surrounding a faux fountain, we loved this place! Mud brick plaster on the walls with the embedded straw, you are living and feeling the kasbah dream. All the hotel amenities are there, comfy beds, hairdryer, clean and spacious rooms. There is a swimming pool with ample terrace seating to drink your afternoon glass of wine. And they will chill your white wine in the fridge. No view of the ksar from the terrace, but you hear no noise from the village or highway. It's called silence! The restaurant serves very good meals, as good as any in Morocco, so far. This is not a 5 star hotel, but a real live jewel in the desert. We would recommend.
