Excellent hosts - they were very supportive with literally anything, be it sending luggages from Kyoto to our next destination or checking our itinerary and giving advices how to make it better. When arrived to Kyoto we followed their advice regarding taxi to take us and our suitcases to the hotel door so we’ve never suffered from taking them uphill. This really felt as if we are going to our friends and being supported in each step. Rooms and shared facilities were clean, tatami floor and futon beds were soo comfortable. We also enjoyed the breakfast which was provided for free, even though we didn’t try their special Japanese breakfast. Location is not too far from Gion and other main attractions, so we were able to explore to the fullest.:) Overall, definitely recommend staying at Guesthouse Soi!

The property is non-smoking and is situated 1.1 km from Kyoto Station. Stellar value for a hostel. Location was very nearby many places to eat and right down the street from a public bathhouse. Several minutes walk to Kyoto Station. Building and rooms were cleaned and maintained daily. Masa was very friendly, accommodating, and helped me find several places in Kyoto that I enjoyed going to very much. I made repeated visits to two of the places (a local bar and the bathhouse) that were recommended to me and was very happy with the recommendations. I came away with a very positive impression of the place and would very happily come back to stay there again if/when I return to visit Kyoto.

Located in the centre of Kyoto, 雅 is a recently renovated accommodation, which provides soundproof rooms. The air-conditioned accommodation is less than 1 km from Gion Shijo Station. The guest house features family rooms. The staff running this hotel are some of the nicest people I've met in Japan. Everything was super clean and comfortable. I'd stay here again if I was in Kyoto in the future.

Especially if you're a photographer looking for early day / night shoots for Ninenzaka or Hanamikoji street. The staff were also very welcoming! A really nice and cozy place to stay!

Featuring a garden and views of garden, Azukiya is a recently renovated guest house located in Kyoto, 700 metres from Shoren-in Temple. Everything was amazing, the room was stunning and had everything we might need. The owner was also wonderful and made us feel at home!
