It offers a 24-hour reception, free parking, and free WiFi, along with a bar and restaurant. Very clean and comfortable hotel. Our room was facing some woods and very quiet. Breakfast good as well. Good value for money!

Close to junction 26 of the A12, the Holiday Inn Colchester has a convenient location, only 5 km from the very heart of Colchester, the oldest recorded town in Britain. London Stansted Airport is only a 40-minute drive away. The hotel was welcoming , clean and the staff friendly

The room was large with a king-size bed and a sofa plus a couple of upright chairs. Shower was great. I love that the Holiday Inn Express still provides extra items such as an ironing board and iron in the room. The buffet breakfast is included in the room price and there's plenty of choice. Staff were all friendly and welcoming. Parking is free and it was easy to find a space. There's a Toby Carvery on the same site which was a reasonably priced venue for our evening meal. So overall a really good overnight stay.

It was a Holiday Inn Express. Beer at the bar was cheap. It wasn’t terribly expensive (£80) but given the dingey location I’d have expected to pay £50.
Comfortable room, standard Holiday Inn Express quality, a bit of noise from other guests but nothing terrible - no surprises. So-so breakfast.
Standard IHG Holiday Inn standard, Room clean, Bed comfortable, Good selection at breakfast, even poached eggs!
It was very basic hotel, service was average, breakfast was nothing special. I thought some of the Holiday inn express hotels are much better
I have stayed here for work 2x and the staff have always been brilliant, and super friendly, always clean and tidy too. Both times I have stayed here for 4 nights which is probably a bit long to stay in a holiday inn express - I think a night or 2 will be ok but any longer it could be a bit tedious.
