Francis and his wife were so incredibly helpful and sweet as we fell sick on arrival due to a prior trip and they even helped us with arranging logistics for our onward travel!! Really lovely, clean space and we can’t thank them enough for their hospitality.

The property is worth staying because of its location, heritage (96 year old), affordability, hospitality and of course the hosts themselves make it so enchanting I stayed here 1 night while travelling with mother. House was very very clean with basic amenities which are required for one’s stay. We went off for a very early morning boat ride at 6 am. Auntie packed a sandwich for us to eat in the boat. Thereafter we came back and had a very nice home made food. Highly recommended

It’s a great place to stay.It was the best experience staying there. The beach was very close to the property and it is a private beach and I love it .Location is very beautiful and close to nature. This place is very well maintained...Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the Owner(Albert).Staff was extremely friendly.Home cooked food was yummy. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. We loved the ambience. Especially Albert help us in every situation and Sunitha 's food was so delicious. I would highly recommend this place and I would definitely want to come back to this place again. Thank you Albert and Sunitha for being a nice host.

This place was the greatest find in our holidays and if we hadn't gotten here so close to going home we probably would have extended our stay. Room was spacious, well lit, big windows looking out into the ocean, staff is fantastic. This is family owned and live downstairs from the guesthouse. So you still have full privacy, private entrance etc but it feels like a home. It has ambiance - probably the most out of the places we stayed in. It feels like you're in someone's beach home. I definitely recommend it and would certainly come back. Hope I do :)

The owners are super nice, they took care of us like we were family. Made us a nice breakfast with coffee, gave us waterbottle anytime we needed and gave me a spray for my nose when I was cold.

The staff was extremly friendly and supported us to look for a house boat. We got nice breakfast. For lunch and dinner we could order from restaurants. Especially the manager Sanoj supported us with information and ordering food. The view is very nice over the garden to a small pond and fields. They have nice rooms built from re-used mahagony and other wood

    Loved staying at Kalappura homestay! Jose and his family were great hosts. The room was super comfortable, with a very soft bed and a hot shower! There is a nice common area and the location is great. Jose also helped us with booking the boat tour Fientje backwaters. He provided us with different options so we could decide what type of tour we wanted to do. Thanks Jose & fam for your hospitality!

    This homestay is clean and comfortable with an uplifting and quirky vibe. Johnson is a lovely host who clearly really cares about the environment. He was kind enough to drive us to a restaurant he recommended and offered to pick us up due to the heavy rain! The price is very reasonable and the other staff members are nice. We felt very looked after.

    The host family was so welcoming and kind. They couldn't do enough for us during our stay. They helped us with trip bookings, tuk tuks, and laundry. The breakfast were big feasts! The host made different local dishes each morning. The home stay was in a quiet area, not far from the beach and a few restaurants. The room and living area was really clean - one of the cleanest rooms we've had so far on our trip in India.

    The hosts Albert and Sunitha are extremely friendly, welcoming and accommodating. They are a warm family who are great hosts. Sunitha is a great chef who makes customised authentic kerelan meals for all 3 meals a day! Another guest celebrated their wedding anniversary there and the host family went above and beyond with decorations and cake! The room was clean. The homestay is right on the beach with great sunset views. We stayed at hotels during our trip but the experience and service here was far better!
