Very beautiful location and friendly owners, we loved it. We loved our small and peaceful terrace in front of the bungalow. You can have a free bicycle to go around. The area is very beautiful. The hike from the accommodation recommended by the owner was very enjoyable and peaceful. We did the private tour by car as well, but for us it can be skipped. It wasn't cheap and it wasn't a whole day or at least it should be done during a nice sunny day, so you can enjoy longer and swim in the waterfall. We didn't because it was very windy and chilly. The accommodation is perfect for warm weather, but if it's chilly when you visit consider somewhere else with better isolation. We weren't prepared at all for a cold day, luckily it was our last day of 3. If you have time 3 nights are ok, if you don't I would do 2, but only one is not enough to enjoy the place! :)

Clean. Run by a family who are caring, attentitive and honest. Wife speks very good english. The breakfast was tastey and filling, the evening meals, (which the family were also eating) were worth it. Bikes to rent are in good condition with the soft seats (so valuable). They went out of their way to help locate a misplced phone. Very caring and price was reasonable.

Tan was more than helpful.she goes above and beyond. She helps rent scooters and organizes trips and bus rides back to the city and I don't think she makes a cent off of it. Her English is great. Dinner was delicious. Fixed anything that needed fixed immediately.

Lovely new bungalow overlooking the rice fields and mountains. A perfect location for a quiet break, some fresh air and an opportunity to absorb the local scenery and culture. Hostess Ngân welcomed us upon our arrival. She was always very keen to ensure that we enjoyed our stay and had everything we needed. Ngân provided a laundry service and cooked some delicious breakfasts and dinners each day - which saved having to walk to the other local restaurants. And also provided a taste of local food using freshly produced ingredients. Bikes were provided to allow you cycle around the rice fields and discover the small villages and meet the very friendly locals. The homestay is located within a small group of houses which allowed interaction with the locals which added to the enjoyment of the experience. The room was spotlessly clean with a large toilet/bathroom. A highly recommended homestay when visiting Mai Cháu.
