Tai Evi 2 is set in Soso and offers a garden. The property features sea and mountain views, and is 400 metres from White Sandy Beach. The homestay comes with a flat-screen TV. What a wonderful and memorable stay in a traditional Fijian village. We liked it so much that we ended up staying in Soso village for a month. Silo, Bill, Va, Rob, Simi, Luisa and Iki, we will never forget the great time we had with you. You took good care of us, prepared extra food for the children and helped us when they got sick. As for the village. The people are very friendly, with a lot of children, so our kids made friends instantly. The beach in front of the village is beautiful, with a nice healthy reef to snorkel and there are some nice hikes with spectacular views over all of the Tasawas. As there is no light pollution, stargazing is breathtaking and the manta ray passage is just around the corner. The accommodation is very basic with a bucket shower and no-flush-toilet, but the beds are comfortable and the food is great. Note that the water available is rain water, so if you want to go safe, bring your own bottled water (or aqua-tabs) from the mainland because there are no real shops on the island. Also, you should wear a Sulu (Sarong) around the village and in church, men too. And it’s expected that you bring a kava root (worth 20 FJ$) and/or some money to present to the chief of the village when you arrive.

We had an amazing stay at Vilise's homestay on the island. Vilise is a wonderful host—super nice, chill, and an incredible cook. The homemade, fresh meals were the best we’ve ever had. The homestay is beautiful, right on the beach in a quiet village, and Vilise keeps everything spotless. He can also organize great activities like boat trips to the cave, snorkeling, fishing.. We truly felt at home during our stay, highly recommended!

Facing the seafront in Naviti Island, Wai Makare Homestay features a private beach area and a garden. The homestay has family rooms. Beautiful beach, super welcoming family, loved the hammocks and the firepit. Spent two great nights enjoying my time on the island, went on some short walks to watch the sunset and to the beach on the other side of the island - lots to do and several activities on offer to keep you busy.

The host (Lise) is the best, very welcoming and funny!! She will get for you everything you need and always with a big smile! Good homemade food as well, and pig portions! Go to the tea house next to it and take a massage, cheap and really good!! In the other side of the island there is the blue lagoon beach with a bar and shop were you can chill and see the sunset with a cocktail! Sunrise is in the beach right in fornt of the homestay, so wake up early and don’t miss it!! Forget about resort comodities, this is the real Fijian experience!!

Yasawa Homestays is set in Nacula Island. Located on the beachfront, this property has a private beach area, a garden and a terrace. The host family are the best, they made us feel like family. Infact the entire community of Malevu made us happy. We learnt so much about the Fijian culture and the day to day life. We travelled two adults and our 8 year old daughter and we can't stop talking about our host family Sulu, Jeke and the kids. Sulus kana Vinaka! The food, we never had such exotic freshly catched food! I would recommend this to anyone interested in learning and living how the real Fijian people live, no resort can top this wonderful experience. Be open minded, and enjoy a rustical stay and nights full of stars. We took our head lamps but they had energy, just in case take one :) Congratulations to the chief and the community of Malevu for having such a wonderful community.
