Located in Senggigi and only 400 metres from Batu Bolong Beach, Arirang Sea View Homestay provides accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and free private parking. Providing a garden, the property is located within 27 km of Bangsal Harbour. Makam Batu Layar is 2 km away and Malimbu Hill is 5.7 km from the homestay. Arirang burst onto the hotel scene less than 3 months ago. Within that short period of time it quickly achieved a nearly perfect review score of 9.7. Though initially a bit sceptical, photos showcasing its hillside beauty soon won us over. And the reality even surpassed our expectations! For one thing the view from the lounge was breathtaking. As was the night vista of the glittering lights of the city and the sea beyond it. A truly magical location that would normally warrant a high price tag. But even more amazing was the warm hospitality of Maria, the manager and her staff. The service here was indeed phenomenal! Nothing was too much for them. We came without our own transport so Maria organized a driver for us at prices we were happy with. We were very touched when she even enlisted her son-in-law to help us despite our reluctance to take advantage. Thank you Maria & Tirte. Both of you were fantastic! Then there was the room. It came with a large, comfortable bed, with a clean attached bathroom. We even had our own kitchenette complete with a sink. There was good functioning WIFI, hot water shower and air-conditioning. All these plus a delicious daily made-to-order breakfast! And did I mention the asking price? Shh! It was incredibly low for what you get! Perhaps the only fly in the ointment was the stairs. You have to go down a level to reach your room. But for us the overwhelming positives of Arirang far outweigh this minor inconvenience. In fact we even viewed it as a chance to get in some exercise after overindulging in the scrumptious food here in Senggigi. So, yes we are no longer perplexed why everyone gushed over this place. Neither would you too if you were to stay here.

All units at the homestay are fitted with a seating area. Every unit is fitted with a private bathroom, a safety deposit box and free WiFi, while certain rooms have a balcony and some have inner courtyard views. At the homestay, each unit includes bed linen and towels. The room was spacious and clean. The owner and staff were very nice and always tried their best to make our stay comfortable and pleasant. They also gave us the best iced tea on the island! I also liked that they had a water dispenser instead of plastic bottled water which is better for the environment.

We absolutely loved this place! The place is new, clean and quiet. It also has a terrace with a view of mountain and rice terraces. You can see the sunrise from your bed. The breakfast and also lunch we had later on were both very tasty. The owners were really friendly and welcoming. We also went with Sum as our guide one day and we really enjoyed it.

Boasting a garden and views of river, Stay Together is a recently renovated homestay situated in Tetebatu, 13 km from Tetebatu Monkey Forest. This property offers access to a balcony, free private parking and free WiFi. The accommodation features airport transfers, while a bicycle rental service is also available. The most wonderful family run this homestay. At the moment there is only one room, but they are building another one, although they stop building work when guests are there to make sure guests have a peaceful stay. Don’t think I’ve ever met people more genuine, kind and welcoming than Egik and Ika. We had some problems at a nearby stay and Egik came and picked us up and brought us to Stay Together. The walk to the room through rice fields and chickens is very peaceful, yet the room is so luxurious. Very comfortable bed, good ceiling fan, great shower pressure and hot water. They also offer tours. The food Ika cooks is probably the best we’ve had in Indonesia. Incredible curries and satay. Also good breakfast and lots of fresh local fruit which is a really kind touch. Their three children are also very sweet and friendly. Would definitely return if going back to Tetebatu! Thank you for the amazing stay!

At the homestay, the units come with bed linen and towels. It has no airco but that is ok because it is cool in Telebatu. The view on the ricefields was amazing and the bungalow looked very cute.

Best place I stayed on my 3 weeks in Indonesia. The staff are incredible! The view so peaceful and calming. There is noise from surrounding mosque but as to be expected. I used earplugs for early prayers. Food in the restaurant excellent. I didn’t need to leave as I had all I needed at the accommodation. I did a wonderful village tour of the rice fields and waterfalls. Highlight of my stay. I also did the Mt Rinjani 2 day trek and the staff helped organise this. The best part of my 3 weeks was this trek, the exceptional staff and my stay at Tetebatu!!

Stunning, rural location overlooking rice fields, lush greenery and Mont Rinjani summit in the distance. The constant hum of crickets and the flittering of hundreds of dragonflies along with the scenery makes for a gorgeous nature retreat away from it all. Nip and Awan, along with their lovely family, were lovely hosts and the homemade food was delicious. Nip and Molls took us in the most amazing trek across paddy fields, down through jungle, across rivers and up to Sendang Gile and Tiu Kelep waterfalls, as well as showing us and explaining about traditional villages and taking us to an ancient mosque. Nip was really knowledgeable about everything from agriculture, plants, traditions and history and we would highly recommend taking her up on her offering of this opportunity. We will definitely be back if we’re ever in Lombok again. We didn’t do the Mont Rinjani trek this time but you always have to leave something to come back to do, right?! Jeruk Manis Waterfall is 4 km away and Narmada Park is 36 km from the homestay. We had a lovely stay at Dora Homestay! André was a great guide and showed us around everywhere (Tetebatu is beautiful!). Tuan and his family where very welcoming. And last but not least they’re great cooks, we had breakfast lunch and dinner at there place everyday. Also they gave us fresh fruit with every meal. Would definitely recommend and also come back when we’ll be in Lombok again!
