Very clean & the owners are super friendly & helpful. They let us taste various tea & even cut honey pineapple for us. Highly recommended. Just set in Alishan National Scenic Area, Wankou Hotel is located in Chiayi. It is only a 5-minute stroll from Alishan Railway Station, where guest can take a popular Alishan railway tour. The owner/manager provided helpful recommendations for walking paths and gave us clear instructions. They also offer complimentary rides to/from the bus station. They even allow you to rent a jacket for cheap as it's significantly cooler in Alishan than in Taipei. The traditional Taiwanese breakfast was great! The hotel also helps you arrange a sunrise viewing activity.

阿里山-山日茶旅民宿 is set in Le-yeh, 24 km from Wufeng Park, 31 km from Alishan Forest Railway, and 33 km from Chiayi Tower. Hotel room was clean, there was hot water, drinking water and toiletries provided. The host was warm and welcoming.
